The area balances beach relaxation with local culture – fishing boats return at dawn as you enjoy your morning coffee. Seafood lovers can feast at family-run restaurants serving fresh catches at prices that won't break the bank. Simple guesthouses and modest beachfront resorts offer comfortable stays without the premium price tags of busier areas. Getting around is easiest with a rental scooter, though motorbike taxis handle short trips when you prefer not to drive.

Central Mui Ne Beach

Central Mui Ne Beach delivers sun-soaked paradise with golden sands and turquoise waters dotted with colorful fishing boats. Adventure seekers can kiteboard across gentle waves or explore the dramatic red and white sand dunes rising inland. The fairy-like stream cuts through rust-colored canyons while ancient Po Shanu Cham Towers stand guard from hilltops. Fresh seafood dominates beachfront restaurants where you can feast while watching fishing boats return with the day's catch. Most resorts offer shuttle services, though motorbike taxis make getting around a breeze. The beachfront promenade connects everything, making morning strolls and sunset hunts equally rewarding.

This was our 40 minute trek at FairyStream through this river to a small waterfall at the top of the stream. This area is really close to Mui Ne and there are some nice sand formations. The water looks clean in the picture, but it was polluted throughout our walk upstream. As you arrive at the river there are guys trying to charge you a fee to leave your shoes/sandals. You don't have to pay and you can take them with you. We used our Keen Sandals which were helpful as further upstream there are more rocks in the water. This was part of an afternoon trip with Muine Backpackers travel and tour agent. We all went in a Russian Jeep to the Fairy Stream, views overlooking some fishing boats (unfortunately a very polluted beach), then onto the white sand dunes and a sunset at the red sand dunes. All of this for $7 per person. We wanted to rent a scooter but after seeing the roads on the way to the white sand dunes we were happy we didn't. Terrain for a jeep or off-road bike. The only downfall was they overbooked the tour and it was a tight squeeze in the back of the Jeep. Overall it was a good #roadtrip which combined everything you need to see in Mui Ne or surrounding area.
