"Excellent service at our 4th stay. Foods brilliant and theres alway good beer and gins etc at the log fire heated bars. Room was warm and bed really nice. Hot shower was also good with its downpour in a jungle type fittings. Room2, right by the stairs but not at all noisy. Weather was wintery but its winter... wasdale is a great place and just round the corner. Avoid langdale pass, the tarmac is appalling potholed and none existent in places, i know it like the back of.my.hand. wrynose was still...

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great - breakfast is a belly filler and the hand made pizzas were very tasty. Stayed for 2 nights at a room rate of £100 per night, plus the dog for an extra £5 per night. Disappointed that it wasn’t made clear that the breakfast was charge at an additional cost of £15 per person each day and this wasn’t displayed or shown on any documentation. The second night stay was disrupted by a hen party staying in the pods next door as part of the overall site...

Stayed in Room 3 - stunning view over the beach / bay - comfortable 4 poster bed - plenty of power points - heating controlled via App - excelent wi-fi - limited choice of tv channels. Food - plenty of - excellent quality. Staff all very helpful & friendly. Gets full regularly so book early. "

"Room was a good size, upgraded from what we booked which was a nice surprise, we arrived early and checked if the room was ready which it was so again this was a bonus! No staff on site that we saw but didn’t really need anyone, free to come and go as we pleased and the property felt secure and safe we even left the patio doors open to allow fresh air in, perfect location. Quiet spot in walking distance of Ambleside pubs would definitely return. "

"We’ve been to the hotel previously. Obviously changed hands. Room is fantastic, but there is no longer a bar or breakfast service and no staff as there was previously. Communication was done through WhatsApp which is great but definitely more an Airbnb style now as opposed to a hotel."
