"Very welcoming staff and central location. Old fashioned decor but clean and comfortable. Good value for an overnight say, unfortunately I didn't have enough time to try out the swimming pool. Limited breakfast (e.g. no croissants or similar continental items) but the bacon/egg etc was nice enough. I would stay again."

Charming seaside town. I can imagine it is even better in the summer with crowds and children but I loved it quiet and autumnal too.

"I stayed here with my partner for the 2025 air show weekend. It’s a great location on the sea front and our room had gorgeous sea views. If you’re interested to see what it was like to experience luxury at the turn of the century you can see it here. Very dated, of course, but with lots of stunning original features. We parked here for 2 nights, costing £20.
The bar was well priced and the room a great size. My only complaints are that our room was situated between 2 chimneys, and on an extremely windy weekend this made for a very noisy bed time! Luckily my partner can sleep through anything and I’d taken earplugs with me. Secondly, the bed was only a double so felt rather cramped after sleeping in a king. Still, no reason to mark down - it was a great stay."
"Fab stay, food gorgeous, pool is fab only tried indoor but there's an outdoor too. Great entertainment for both kids and adults, team right outside and free parking. Definitely booking again on a few months"
"Needed a short break in St Anne’s in a top quality bed and breakfast . I selected Howarth House due to the previous excellent reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful property in a fantastic location. Thank you "
"Great trip, room was brilliant, they've obviously renovated some rooms and we got one, on the 7th floor. Brand new bathroom, comfy beds, and a great breakfast. Will definitely be back."
"Me and my little boy loved it here. We had a double room. Everything we needed and more. Bed so super comfy, the remote control fan won us over. We had a shower, it was nice and clean. Plenty of towels in our room, lamps, plenty of space for clothes. Shelfs were handy. We wpuod absolutely stay here again. Just not on the top floor lol."
"I would like to express my appreciation for the exceptional service provided during my stay at the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday, as the hotel was well-maintained, tidy, and offered excellent service. I would like to extend my gratitude to Liam for his outstanding assistance. I look forward to visiting again in the future."
"Booked last minute for an overnight getaway, literally booked a few hours before we arrived so didn't expect the best room, but we was given a great little room (224) that was very clean and looked newly refurbished, . New bed by the looks of it too, also gad "
"The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed over the weekend and there was a wedding on both the Friday and Saturday but there was no problem with the noise. But on the Saturday the staff were under pressure and when we went to the bar to get a drink after dinner we were told we would have to wait as he was busy doing something else, when 15 minutes had passed we went back to the bar, ordered some drinks and an Irish coffee when it finally arrived it was cold, when we mentioned it we were told it was because the cream was cold so that was disappointing.
But would certainly recommend the hotel and stay here again. "
"Dean was amazing. Helped us with anything we needed. He was so friendly and kind. He came out and had a cigarette with us. The hotel was clean and not a far walk to the beach. Would definitely come back "
"Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach and Tower.
We booked just a basic room , but it had everything we needed, a clean shower room a very comfortable bed and a wardrobe. Some areas could do with an update but overall a nice hotel and.the staff were.very nice and friendly.I would book to stay here again."

"Stayed in double deluxe room with sofa bed and everything was flawless. Contemporary deco, nice beds, good quality amenities. Comfortable stay. Quick check-in and check out "
"The hotel and its surroundings were truly picturesque. The rooms were spotless, and while the restaurant offered a limited selection, the overall experience was pleasant. However, one concern was the presence of dead flies on the restaurant’s window sill. Given the warm weather, this issue should have been addressed promptly to maintain cleanliness

"8 adults and 1x 8 yr old family members stayed 26tb July.. Our roms were all comfortable and we got no noise from outside or in the corrudors. Elderly parents had a wet room bathroom which we had requested. Perfect!
Food was delicious. Groupon deal included evening meal. Limited selection but we all enjoyed. Evening staff were v efficient and friendly. Breakfast was self service. A little impersonal...
