You can stroll along Aberdeen Harbour for relaxing water views when you're in Hanover. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. If you carry on walking you'll get to Aberdeen City Beach and Beach Ballroom Bathing Area for some more water views.

Ski the fall line at Glenshee Ski Centre located 18 mi (29 km) from central Ballater. If you master the slopes, Butcharts Access Poma and Meall Odhar are both nearby.
