We loved the little village of Cromford and we may of overlooked it if we hadnโt stayed here. Cafes and a couple of pubs within walking distance. We were worried about parking with it being Easter, but it wasnโt an issue. It was a great place to stay to explore the Peak District. Cannot fault the hosts, we had everything we needed plus a couple added extras always welcome after a long drive !!

Modernised mill-workers cottage
A lovely little ex-mill-workers cottage. The owners have extensively researched the history which makes interesting reading. Some "essential" supplies were provided, most welcoming. A generous supply of towels, dressing gowns more like a high-class hotel all impressed. The village centre is a few minutes walk down the hill with good pubs for food and ale.
Our only reservation was the shower over the tub which was very high to climb into. As a couple in our seventies this was potentially unsafe, we felt.
Three night stay while exploring an area we had not visited before, very enjoyable short stay.
