8th floor smelled just like rotten trash or fish. And cockroach appeared in the room. We changed our room to upper floor and it was better but still had stranger's hair left on the pillow and bed. Staffs who were working at the front desk were fine, but cleaning system is terrible.

i was a member of the gym for a long time and they did a good job keeping it up. The hotel/hostel side, however, is a different thing. Things ripped off walls in shower stall, a large panel next to my bed off of the wall and just propped up against said wall. It I had my drill and a couple screws I'd reattach if for them. But I don't travel with my drill. I want to love this place, but the deferred maintenance is terrible.

O quarto estava limpo, mas os funcionários no geral são secos, a manutenção dos banheiros é precária, torneiras e chuveiros pingando, em um dos banheiros o chuveiro estava quebrado, a agua saia pelo cano, em outro a porta na travava, em outra estava entupido, enfim, falta manutenção! Poor communication. My flight was delayed until the next day. Despite many attempts to let them know and request to hold the reservation, it took them more than 24 hours to get back to me. I tried phone (many times), Hotel.com messaging and Hotel.com help desk (where they finally replied after > 24 hours). I don't need this kind of stress on top of the missed flight.

A spot for brave souls on the budget

A spot for brave souls on the budget. The bed was ok, the floor is dirty. 3 showers for the whole floor… the smell in the room was weird, the room size ok. You would want to come there as late as possible and leave as early as you can to enjoy the city or what you are for in NY. There might be better budget options out there…

Good location and cool ac in private room. It is basically an old dorm room. I did like having access to the gym facilities. Only 1 towel was provided. No daily cleaning offered.
