Tired, expensive and terrible shower.

The hotel is in a fantastic and beautiful location. It was a bit tired and the Family room was chintzy. Our shower didnโ€™t get anywhere near warm and the towels were clean but rough. The hotel bar closed at 9:30 on a Friday night. The cost was relatively high but didnโ€™t include a breakfast and was too far outside Llangollen to walk.

Location near to Llangollen is good but surrounding restaurants were closed so we had to drive into town for a meal as options at the hotel were very limited. Heating on all night in the room and no way of turning it off which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Very picturesque, great location and views but very dirty, had to clean the bath before it could be used as was grimy and full of hair, clearly hadnโ€™t even been rinsed. Bed linen was spotless and bed comfy though

*Says 4 minute walk to llangollen but its more like a 45 minute walk *broken glass on bathroom floor, fire alarm going off through the night, was told by staff at checkin at 4pm that food had stopped being served yet an hour later they were serving another couple wit food, room was so dusty and dirty very old and dated, also was advertising breakfast yet no one was there the next morning to do breakfast. Only good thing about this hotel was thr stunning views across rhr countryside.. not worth ยฃ70 a night

Surprisingly decent!

Very impressed. Stayed for 1 night with my 8 year old son as a stopover on the way to Snowdonia. By far the cheapest hotel I could find in the local area, so expectations were low. Impressed though at the hotel, friendly staff at check-in, decent rooms and surprisingly comfy bed! Only downsides - the walls seemed rather thin, the angry man in the next room having an argument with someone on the phone was heard rather clearly(!) and shower lacked much pressure. But all in all, for a cheap night as a stopover it was perfect. Thanks!

From the moment I arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is set back from a country road so it was quiet and close to hills and mountains for walking. A few minutes drive from the main town of Llangollen it was convenient and peaceful. The chef was very helpful and able to meet my needs with small changes to the menus with ease. Room was basic but adequate and clean. Exactly what was needed for a short break.

The hotel is not where is says it is on Hotel.com - it is 1km out of Llagollen, so very difficult if you don't have a car. Staff were not hospitable, almost surprised I was there and gave little to no information about the hotel and services. Have to order breakfast the night before, if you can find any staff to order it.
