Avoid this place

Owners / management should be ashamed of the condition of this place. Resort: Location looked like a tsunami had just passed through. Totally unkempt, clearly no maintenance has taken place in a long time and garbage everywhere. Bungalows: 8 out of 18 bungalows were considered habitable by the resort’s staff. The rest were “broken”, which we found out after asking to be moved to a different bungalow as the shape of ours was bad and located next to the resort’s garbage burning site. Service: Staff consisted of 10 youths who appeared to have barely hit puberty and were managed by a hardly communicating man who appeared to be in charge as he collected receipts and counted cash. None of the staff spoke more than 5 words of English, music was being played at all times and they had clearly never received instructions on what constitutes customer service. One of the worst stays I have ever had.

Increíble. Volvería a ir una y mil veces más. Hotel muy sencillo, entornos alucinantes. NO HAY AGUA CORRIENTE, traen cubos. NO HAY LUZ, excepto desde que se pone el sol hasta que vuelve a salir. Vale mucho la pena !

A wonderful island which need a good maintainance of the resort . No electricity during the day gives very limited choice of food for in house guests. Due to the fact that the island is a gem, overall we still enjoy our stay.

We arrived by ourselves in their island and when we wanted to check in they didn’t expected us so nothing was ready but the worst it is so doggie, rubbish every where and so old. It’s look like we were in a bad movie, so we decided to don’t stay in this place. I think this place should never be proposed for booking because it’s not correct.

Cosy, but primitive

Nice bungalows, newly painted, but not renovated (bathroom door fell off). Own bathroom, but outside. Bees were regular visitors in the bathroom, but no stings. Staff was untrained and spoke poor english. You pay for the location. Really nice snorkeling just a few meter from the beach.

Paradiso tropicale

Un paradiso tropicale da sogno!isola fantastica, assolutamente consigliato stare almeno qualche notte x godersi il mare di mattina per snorkeling con con bassa marea e di pomeriggio per snorkeling che oltrepassa la barriera, e la quiete di un soggiorno spartano in mezzo al mare. Resort gestito da un'unica proprietà che monopolizza l'isola, quindi con prezzi superiori allamedia del luogo e servizi non sempre buoni. Proprietario del Resort-ristorante abbastanza sgodevole e poco orientato alla clientela, ci ha fatto lasciare la stanza prima del check in previsto dalla prenotazione. Nel complesso esperienza super consigliata,il reef offre molte possibilità di avvistamenti tra cui, oltre ai mille pesci tropicali, squaletti a riva e tartarughe.

Isla preciosa, hotel descuidado

Nos alojamos en este hotel porque queriamos dormir en alguna isla y esta isla es preciosa,, lei muchos comentarios malos sobre el hotel pero nos arriesgamos.. No me arrepiento pero no volveria alojarme, los precios de la comida son elevados, por el dia vienen muchas excursiones a la isla lo que hace que se llene de gente y desaparece la tranquilidad, no tienen suficientes bebidas en la nevera y cuando fuimos a pedir una cerveza estaban calientes..por la noche anclan muchos barcos enfrente y se escucha un ruido horrible de los motores.. la isla esta descuidada, los bungalows con cosas rotas, el lavabo da pena y la puerta ni se cierra, se nota que hace años que no actualizan las instalaciones y hay muchos bungalows vacios donde da la sensacion que ya estan inservibles por el mal estado que tienen. En general tampoco ofrecen servicios como buceo o kayaks y lo unico que tienen gafas de snorkek y encima te las cobran. Un desastre de gestion y de todo.. no tienen mucha comida disponible.. si quieres pescado para cenar acuerdate de encargarlo por la mañana porque sino no lo tendran para la cena..

Rêve d’île déserte s’abstenir

L’ile est assaillie de bateaux et de flots de touristes dès l’aube jusqu’au couché de soleil. C’est un séjour plutôt sous le signe du bruit et d’un horizon visuellement encombré. Les conditions sommaires sont tout à fait acceptables et donnent un certain cachet au séjour, toutefois, la literie est très mauvaise. Les coûts des locations (materiel de snorkeling) et des produits (boissons...) sont excessifs et de surccroit le restaurant est surtaxé (+20% sur la note finale). La pire arnaque est sur le Check out à 8h !!!!! Si vous voulez partir plus tard vous paierez le bateau en sus 900 000 IDR. Le personnel est jeune et serviable. Les équipes tournent et sont majoritairement sympathiques et attentives.

Un petit coin de paradis mais attention

Kanawa est un petit bijou de la mer, cette île été ses fonds marins sont magnifique! Il est triste de voir que cette île peut vite devenir une poubelle géante, de nombreux déchets jonchent le sol et polluent la mer. Je suis en colère contre les touristes qui n’en prennent pas garde jettent par terre, marchent sur les coraux et contre son propriétaire un neerlandais qui s offre un diamant mais n en prend pas soin. Nous sommes repartis avec nos’ poubelles, il faudrait que tout le monde fasse de même. Le logement est très spartiate nous n avons pas eu d eau au moment des douches mais cela nous convenait nous savions. Attention le bateau gratuit pour rentrer est à 8hoo du matin tandis que sur expédia quand nous avions réservé ilnetait inscrit un départ à 12hoo. Impossible de négocier, nous avons payé un autre bateau pour partir à 12hoo et profiter encore de la mer. Soyons des touristes respectueux de l environnement !

Paradiso all’improvviso

Non bisogna lasciarsi scoraggiare dalle vecchie recensioni. Se si cerca il massimo confort non fa al caso vostro,ma per rilassarsi è perfetto. Camera pulita, personale gentile, cibo sopra la media rispetto all entroterra di Flores.. il mare è favoloso,sembra di essere dentro un acquario..

Amazing natural beauty - run down basic resort

The Bungalows are run down and in a terrible condition. So is most of the resort. Staff are friendly and the island is breathtaking but we had no electricity at night which made for a super hot stay as the fan wasn’t working.

Мухи и генератор

Трудно неудовлетворить моим критериям комфорта... Но они справились. Если коротко, то: - С 6 вечера до 6 утра орал генератор. А т.к. спишь с точки зрения звукоизоляции - на улице - в 5 утра я проснулся с опухшей головой, более уставшим чем через 26 часов перелёта с пересадками. - Мухи. Бывает ты спешишь съесть завтрак потому что голоден или ждут великие дела. А бывает - потому что на столе 20 мух, на тарелке 10 и ещё 20 ползают по тебе... После ночи в обнимку с генератором - асбтрагироваться от мух сил не быо. Плюс вопросы по сантираии возникают... Бронировал на 6 ночей, но после первой же ночи съехал. Деньги не вернули... Но остаться здесь - это потерять весь отпуск...

Total Überteuert!!! Bei baufälligen Hütten

Hütten sind alle runtergekommen, man kann froh sein wenn man nicht durchbricht. Werden augenscheinlich auch nicht repariert. Essen total überteuert und nicht wirkich gut. Wer sich gerne abzocken lassen will (bsp. Flasche Wasser 35.000 IDR und und dazu kommt noch 11% Steuer obendrauf) kann dort hin gehen und wird seine Freude haben. Meiner Meinung nach lohnt sich ein Tagesausflug dort hin eher. Zum Schnorcheln dennoch ein Traum genauso wie die Insel selber.

île paradisiaque

cabane au charme désuet sur une île paradisiaque, ce n'est pas le grand luxe mais nous ne venons pas dans ce type d'endroit pour ça. Le seul bémol serait plutôt du côté de la restauration.

Rapporto qualità-prezzo non eccellente, bungalows non proprio confortevoli e servizio scadente. Ma vale assolutamente la pena passarci qualche notte per la bellezza dell'isola di Kanawa!

Beautiful island ruined by staff

The island itself was stunning with excellent coral reef for snorkeling and beautiful views. It was however a rip off. For £40 a night we had a room with no proper curtain, the bed itself D very uncomfortable and it has not been cleaned properly. The menu was also a rip off with food already expensive gaining an extra 17% in tax and service fees. The staff gave us no information when we arrived and barely spoke to us, they hung around in large groups to themselves and were very uninviting and a little intimidating. Lastly we did the Rinca + 3 dives 7:30-6 day trip, expensive at around £60 + park fees for the guide and boat but understandable to an extent given what they claimed to offer. This was the biggest lie and rip off by far. We did one snorkel nowhere special, went to Rinca which was excellent but when we're taken straight back to labuan Bajo arriving before 1pm. So we lost 5 hours and 2 snorkels which we were not consulted on and yet we were still charged £60. As I have said the island itself was beautiful but completely tainted by rip off after rip off. Go to another island, they are all beautiful but hopefully somewhere else won't be tainted by unfriendly staff ripping you off.
