a nice hotel, but the breakfast was quite disappointing..a paper box with a sugary muffin, a sour fruit cup, and a tiny cup of orange juice. not thoughtful or satisfying.
To make matters worse, getting this breakfast required scanning a QR code, visiting a third party website, and entering my personal information just to make a reservation. Honestly, it might have been better not to offer anything at all.
No one would expect to go through this much trouble just to get such a mediocre breakfast โ especially while staying at a high-end hotel.

An interior design dream come true!
Our room was absolutely gorgeous and the hotel itself was a design dream come true. Chloe at the front desk was very friendly and offered great recommendations and we were appreciative they were able to accommodate us when we got to town earlier than expected. We definitely will stay here again if weโre ever in back in Charleston.
The only negative was that we had asked for an upper level floor at the time of booking and were put on the first floor right on a busy street instead despite being told they would try to accommodate our request a few weeks in advanceโฆ It was definitely loud since the road was literally right next our window.

We have stayed at Ansonborough Inn for several years. Itโs lost a little something with the new ownership. They used to have breakfast and complimentary coffee. Now you have to pay for a cup. Overall still a great hotel and great location. Parking is nice but you do have to pay $35/night, so might as well valet somewhere. We stayed for the first time on the 1st floor. Room was smaller and a little louder d/t street noise.

Small Room, Great Location, Wonderful Staff

Couples Getaway
What a beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly, and so helpful. Carrie at the front desk allowed us to drop our luggage while we grabbed a bite to eat since we arrived earlier than checking. Since our room was ready and we were still out, Carrie took our luggage to our room. Tamara made us an amazing old-fashioned and was very attentive to anything else we needed. Tammy, I believe was her name, makes the most delicious cook to order breakfast from the menu.

Modern and chic, close walking distance to French

True Customer Service
The space is lovely. The rooms - quiet and spacious. But what stood out most to me was the customer service.
I appreciate that the breakfast host saw I wasnโt intrigued by the breakfast menu and suggested a restaurant not far from the location. This reminded me of โMiracle on 34th Streetโ where Chris refers a Macyโs customer to Gimbles for the gift they sought. More spaces should offer customer service such as this.

Lost Reservation
Beautiful hotel; however, they couldnโt find my reservation despite me showing my
Information from Hotels.com confirmation information. Fortunately, they had an available room, and I asked to be moved to a different floor because I donโt like being on the ground floor. They did accommodate my request, and the room was aesthetically pleasing & comfort- but the new room did smell like someone had smoked in it previously.
