Worst accommodation and customer service ever!
I was attending an event at Rogers Stadium & booked this accommodation as it was within walking distance. I received messages with check-in instructions - press door bell & wait. No one came. After a half hour I called the number in the documents. Someone said they would come in 5 minutes; 30 minutes later a member of staff arrived who claimed to have no knowledge of the reservation even though I showed him the printed confirmation. He was uncommunicative, unhelpful and frankly rude and did not show any interest in helping. By this time a couple of young girls had also arrived and he said the property was being renovated so would take them to another one nearby. When I asked why I couldn't also go to this place as well he just shrugged and didn't answer! As I was by now going to be late for the event I had to drive off to get there in time. As all the hotels near the venue were full, and there would not have been time to find one further out, after it was finished I had to sleep in the car! Is this the fault of the completely unprofessional and incompetent property owners or did Hotels.com not send them the booking. This place should be removed from your listings immediately and probably others the same landlord may operate. Luckily no money had been paid but it was more then inconvenient. Do Hotels.com even vet the properties they deal with in any way? It seem not to me. Is there any scope for compensation for the lack of a reserved room?
