Disappointed
Room I paid for and reserved wasn't ready when I checked in. I had to wait for over 24 hrs for the room I reserved. After checking in, jacuzzi tub wasn't safe to use and dirty. TV in living area didn't work. Dirty pillows on the bed.

My experience was horrible this stay. I reguested a closer room near the main pool on the 1st floor because of my knee. I am unable to walk long distance. The rep put us in a room far to the back of the hotel in building 9 which made my stay un comftable because my knee had swollen up. I asked for a wheel chair my 1st day and was told there wasnt one. My 2nd day a nice gentleman was able to get me a wheel chair because i couldnt walk. The room has bugs, the fridge didnt work. The tub was leaking water, the air wasbt working. Front sesk keep hanging up on me. I was promised a closer room but no one never came to assist with moving into the room. It was horrible and so un fair. I have a medical condition, and they didnt even care

Horrible Service
I absolutely will never stay at this resort again. Staff is extremely rude and act as if it's not because of the tourism that they even have a job. It took hours to get logged in and during our stay my husband and myself got locked out of our room though it was already paid for and was stuck in the lobby for hours. Only a select few of the staff were polite and just about everyone acted as if we were doing them aThe nightlife catered to only a specific group and completely forgot that there were visitors from all walks of life. We brought a total of 38 people for a wedding and got treated like crap. I cannot say that I won't visit Mexico ever again but I will never visit this location.

Upgraded diamond club didnโt include restaurants for dinner at an all โinclusiveโ unless part of hideaway. Staff was inconsistent and terrible at communicating. Had to carry my bags throughout stay while employees sat on their phones and chatting to each other.

We have been to the Royalton 5 times, over the past 5 years. Each visit was different. The Royalton isnt what it used to be, before Marriott took over and Splash opened up.
Room - very comfortable, nice. Room was cleaned daily. We always stay in the Presidential room and love it. The fridges were stocked daily. We picked our room via the room selector and got what we chose.
Check in - fast, easy. Our room was ready early and we got to enjoy the amenities right away.
Service - most staff were fun and helpful. We tipped frequently throughout. We loved that the staff seemed to remember you and your preferences. The server at Agave brought shots to our table without being requested then jumped in to a family picture with us - he was fun! The chef at Zen interacted with each guest during the hibachi presentation, even bringing my kids up to play โchefโ. The down side - service staff has dwindled over the years. There just isnโt enough staff. Restaurant dining took up to two hours every night. Service was slow. At the bars, there was only 1 person making drinks. He has a hard time keeping up and never knew who was next. If you are not positioned right in front of where he is working, the bartender will never get to you.
Dining - reservations are a must. You can no longer walk up for a table. You must wake up at midnight and book them thru the app. We were turned away multiple times our first night even though the restaurants were empty. Buffet choices are limited.

Very nice pool areas! As crowded as I am sure the resort was, it didnโt feel crowded. Finding food to eat is another story. I donโt know if they were short of help, but you have to make reservations for dinner, there barely are any, even though there are several empty tables. We had to pay $350 one night to eat somewhere (they came around and โsoldโ us a reservation). It also shouldnโt cost $34 for a small bottle of Benadryl or $100+ for some water and snacks. All inclusive, but they k in how to get money out of you.

The room was spacious and the swim-out pool was perfect as it was very hot and humid in Cancun. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, there was a spot of fresh blood (obviously not mine) on my pillowcase and it rubbed off onto the headboard. The housekeeper was happy to change my sheets when I showed it to him. The wait times at the restaurants were extremely long and the temperature inside was very hot. We were sweating while waiting for our food. Some of the food was ok at the restaurants but other restaurants were horrible! The buffet is your best bet if you stay here because of the freshness of the food and variety. Grazie Italian restaurant food was not as described on the menu. My Manicotti Florentine was a corn tortilla wrapped around cheese, cauliflower, and broccoli. We waited over an hour to get our food at Hunters Steakhouse. The Japanese restaurant food was pretty good but it must have been 90 degrees inside.

The entertainment was my favorite part of the Arya. The staff was friendly and aimed to please. The only downfall was the cocktails. No top shelf and everything tasted beyond water down like sugar water. Youโd have a stomach ache before you reach the dunk level.

We stood in line for 35 minutes to check-in. Then we booked an excursion and it was not as described. We only snorkeled for 20 minutes of the 7 hour day. The rest of the time on the catamaran was spent by the staff pressuring us to rent a golf cart for $75. The food at the resort was bad, service was slow. They have a buffet (Marche) that is very good, so you always have that to fall back on when you dine at one of the resort restaurants. At Armadillo (restaurant at resort) I ordered a baked potato and they brought me out 1/2 of a Yukon gold potato on a dessert plate. I thought it was a joke, but they were serious. I ordered a chicken taco and they brought me chicken tenders cut up and stuffed inside the taco. The โNibblesโ food place by the pool was very good. The food truck near the pool was delicious-yummy fish sticks. We ate at the steakhouse (Hunter). Absolutely delicious food, but our reservations were at 8:30pm and we didnโt get our food until 10:15pm. Not even the salad or appetizer came out before that. I kept thinking the food would get better at every restaurant we went to, but it got worse. At โGrazieโ the Italian place-they ran out of mozzarella sticks. The restaurants are always running out of stuff. They did have good nightly entertainment by the pool. Very nice pool bar staff, nice room cleaning staff, and a wonderful server at the buffet-Orlando. Front desk doesnโt care. We told them about this and they did nothing. Donโt waste your $!

This us worst report and screwed up my entire trip. I have 2 years old boy and my ancle broke and decided to go on vacation in nice report. So i get some rest but room was super derty, flush wasnt worked in bathroom, bathroom door wasnt able to closed and due to that, my son and wife both got sick. We back with sickness and lot of stress. I can't believe, you charged 3 adults even my son is 2 years old all-inclusive packaged and nobody was provided my son milk since he doesnt eat anything excelt milk and fruits. Room service was worst too. Any orders, they bring food after 3 hours. I order morning breakfast at 8 and arrovwd 12:40. Same for dinner, i order at 7 and came late night 11:30pm. I had very bad leg issues and i had to walk all the way to kitchen for food. I need my money back. I can't just let this go. I have complained when i was there but no solution. Problem remain the same.
Julio and Andrea trying to help me but whole management issues and nobody listen to me. Julio and Andrea changed room as well but after changing, issue wasnt resolved.
I really need refund on this bad service. This trip made my 2 years old son and my wife very sick. Julio at least helped me got medication but like i said. Resort is not good and their management is super bad. I had lit of stress due to this trip. All my money goes in trash.
