Gross but staff friendly

Got what u pay for. There is an attempt to make a change but its got a long way to go! Walls newly painted, beds clean. Floors were GROSS!! Doubt housekeeping has cleaned bath floor in years. We ended up laying extra towels all over floor to keep from sticking to god knows what? Everything in bathroom was either broke or gross. Plug didnt work, toilet leaked, shower head wont stay up, ceiling fan cover missing. Whole room felt extremely damp. Tv good and was told we got bonus fridge n microwave for free, lucky us. Staff was nice but overall a good deep cleaning needed.

Stunk like smoke!!!

Came into town to check in really quick and head off to a Dr appt still an hr away. The restroom was still dirty and the counter top. Came back to the room late at night after dinner and walking around on the beach and still a drive back so about 10 PM only to notice even more that the room had no towel bar no trashcan, no hand towels, no washcloths one of the towels that was on the towel bar was dirty And when we went to use the shower, the whole unit of the shower was coming out of the wall, then on top of that, the room had a smell of smoke about it, but once we laid in bed, the pillows stunk like smoke. It was horrible!!!!

STAY AWAY !!!!!!

STAY AWAY !!!!! Key wouldn't work TWO times. Instead of rekeying it they made us switch rooms THREE TIMES !! On the third room we finally got in. I just had surgery and it was difficult to do that. When we got in the 3rd room, it was dirty, but my wife and I went out to the car, got our own blanket and slept on that. Additionally, she felt the need to clean the room, after we had a 7 hour drive. Then, the t.v was broken on top of that . In the morning, we discovered that we had no hot water, in fact, it was freezing cold. For the 1st time in my adult life ( Im 66 ) I skipped the shower. So when I tried to clean up in the sink, we now discovered that the room had no soap. I have stayed here several times in the past, and last night was the last time. I will spend the extra money and stay in Solvang next time.

Don’t stay here!

The reception lady was nice as I booked the wrong day, so hotels.com and her helped. I know it’s a cheap motel, but the first room stank of smoke. Second room, dirty sheets, disgusting bathroom. There was a bottle top acting as a plug in the bath. People rummaging around in bins outside. Cat in a window of one room! On check out a person not in uniform smoking outside took our key. When I went back to check he worked there, made to feel stupid

The room had a no smoking sign, but it smelled like cigarettes. The vent from the AC unit was loud and looked like it was ready to fall off the ceiling. The room overall was pretty clean, besides a small rust stain on the bath tub and the sheets were stained with what appeared to be dried paint. The towels looked a bit dingy as well. Beds were pretty comfy.

Bed sheets dirty with rice, hair inside sheets. Sink in need of repair, phone does not work, all walls need wipe down, towel single wall hook nevery loose, front door needs insulation rubber strip to insulate open crack. Outside lawn / parking lot needs cleaning / paint / maintenance. Air-conditione unit needs maintenance as was loud and in need of repair.

Weird interruption

Check in was fine , then a couple hours later the clerk, then the manager was pounding on the door demanding my name. I checked in with ID and credit card. I gave name through the door , they continued pounding . I opened the door in my underwear and gave my license, he looked at it then left .

Absolutely Horrendous

Where do I even begin to start. Looks and photos definitely can be deceiving. The establishment was dirty looking. We booked a 3 night stay. After 2 days we left and stayed at another hotel. (Day 1) We were given a room. When we enter there was a horrible smell in it. It was full of flies and gnats inside of the window. There wasn’t even a window screen inside of the window. I immediately went back to the office. They exchanged my room for another one. When we entered this room it was a little better. (But…..) The sheets were stained with dog paw prints on them. So tired I went to down to laundry room to exchange sheets for new ones. The apologize and gave me new ones. Then we went to the rest room and flushed the toilet and to our surprise it was clogged. I went back down to the office and they gave me a plunger from the $ store to plunge it. We had no choice since we really had to use the bathroom. It did absolutely nothing to help fix the problem. And maintenance and house keeping were already gone for the day so we had to tough it out. So we were able to pee and that’s all. (Day 2) I told maintenance in the morning and he said he would fix it. We left for the day and returned later and went 2 check and it wasn’t fixed. So went to dinner upset to Wingstop across the street. Luckily they give you thick brown paper bags. In the middle of the night I had to go #2. We couldn’t use the toilet because it was still clogged. So had to use the Wingstop bag. Checked out the next day

"Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience"

This property gave off an unsettling vibe. It seemed to have several long-term residents, as evidenced by potted plants in windows and children’s bikes scattered outside some rooms. I was surprised by the number of rundown vehicles in the parking lot—some were packed full of items, almost like makeshift storage units, with bikes even chained to the tops of minivans. I expected basic accommodations for the price, but the reality did not match the most recent reviews. The front desk staff was polite, but I felt uneasy when I was told there was an issue with my reservation. Although I was informed I had been “upgraded” due to a website error, the room did not feel like an upgrade at all. The property was littered with cigarette butts, and the room had a strong smell of smoke. We nearly chose to skip our stay and continue our drive home, but I was too exhausted. We ended up leaving early in the morning and were met with another unsettling sight—a woman appearing disheveled, rummaging through a car with her pants halfway down. I’m not a high-maintenance traveler, but I do value honesty, and I feel the reviews misrepresented this place significantly. I would not stay here again.
