The receptionist was rude and claimed she spoke no English. On the second to last day of my stay she instructed the housekeeper to speak to me on the phone, and informed me I was late checking out. I got dressed and went to the front desk. When I got to the front desk she told me in perfect English she had talked to Expedia and I didn’t have to check out until the next day. No apology was given.

Their was a gas leak from the hot water boiler in the kitchen. Very smelly and dangerous. They couldn't turn the boiler off without turning off the hot water

Difficult stay

It was very poorly maintained. The pool was very cold as they did not heat it after all the Guadalajaran people left and over the weekend it had 20 kids in it so we did not swim. Both toilets leaked and did not flush well. There was no microwave or soap to wash dishes. The TV was static and sound was awful. Restaurant was ok - waiters were good but eggs were overcooked and pancakes were inedible. Bed was uncomfortable. One shower was unusable as the showerhead sprayed 5 sprays in all different directions. No one was there at checkout in the early morning. Will not recommend. I'm sorry - we have low expectations but this was very hard for my husband who has trouble with stairs and there were stairs everywhere to every room.

Amazing hotel in Ajijic, It’s about 55 away from Guadalajata airport with no traffic. Easy check in, great WiFi, hot water and comfortable bed. Beautiful gardens and it looks like an hacienda.

The rooms at this hotel are surprisingly large—almost too spacious for comfort—but I have to commend the staff for their dedication. Despite the scale of the place, they really make an effort to provide attentive and friendly service. It’s clear they care about the guest experience, which makes a big difference.
