Canmore is an excellent place to stay if visiting Banff National Park and this hotel was in a great location: a 10-20 minute walk to most of town and close to good food, Safeway, gas, and the highway. Train is nearby but didnโt disturb us. Plenty of parking, no designated spot for each room however. This place is not a Hyatt but it did fit our needs as we spent most of our days out of the room. Staff work hard and our room was cleaned daily. It did have an AC unit but it was terrible. Lots of aesthetic changes need to be made as the mirror brackets were broken, towel hanger almost fell off the door, the seal on the fridge was broken, and the shower curtain was old and ratty. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. There are picnic tables outside but the sprinkler systems kicked on nightly and soaked both the tables and our screen door! Hot tub was full of people most nights so we didnโt actually use it. Plus it was 80+ degrees every day we were there.
