The stay was poor, property is dirty overall, room not well mantained, scaffolding all around the property, the staff needs training abit rude for basic support and poor experience I would never stay here again, property not as advertised.

The room with a view of the river was pleasantly surprising. The shower was very basic and needed a little more oomph and either the shower screen wasn't fit for purpose or there was a leaky pipe under the bath but there was always a puddle of water around the toilet and bath. Overall the room provided a good stay for a good price, would stay again if the bath/shower was sorted.

Place run down, looks like being upgraded for last 10 yrs. hardly any milk in room, asked for more, hadn’t got any. Half a loo roll, poor shower, and place had a horrid smell upstairs . Won’t be staying here again. It was cheap though.!

I had a short stay , just the one night. It’s nice and quiet and right next to the train station. A perfect place to stay if your travelling into London.

Place with a view of the Thames

Very helpful at reception on arrival, and a warm welcome. Place is in need of some refurbishment but on the whole I found my room to be clean and fresh. Wi-Fi is NOT password protected which is not great. Breakfast was basic but OK, I left a little hungry though. Great location by the Thames and Would stay again if on a budget.

A Great Experience. The outside of the hotel is undergoing renovation, but once you step inside it looks great. Friendly Staff, Delicious food, A Comfy room. I can just imagine the atmosphere on a Bright Summers day, when all of those benches a stones throw from the River Thames are full of locals having a pint, enjoying the view. I'll be back for that.

The rooms are quite comfortable despite the outside look of the hotel. The only negative for me is lack of food even though it says on the website that there is a restaurant.

Would I stay again? - If I had too

Good things were that the bed was comfortable and the shower worked. However the rooms especially the floors could do with a lot more cleaning. The carpets needing shampooing and the bathroom needed bleach cleaning. There was also a bad smell in the building which was not pleasant. The receptionist was friendly which almost made up for poor quality issues

Quick stop off before our morning flight from Gatwick. Bed was comfy but pillows a bit thin. Staff nice and helpful. Needs a little tlc but perfectly suitable for an overnight stop. Only issue was the water boiler was obviously above our head and it was rather loud.

You get what you pay for, it's a basic hotel that has reasonable rooms and beds. The cottage is slightly more private but you do hear the doors slamming through the night and the sound of the road. Nice walk along the river to a bird sanctuary, overall it's reasonable. Shower was really weak tho
