Happy in Hamburg

5 min walk from Hamburg Central bus & train stations. Super clean, super freindly. Twin room was great, private bathroom a bit on small size if a big unit. Location great for getting about, but given where it is, can be a little noisy and on the rough side (had no issues but could be a bit intimidating for those not used to inner city going ons). Bar on site was great, super helpful staff, would definitely stay again

Nice hotel close to Hamburg Bahnhof

A cheap hostel very close to Hamburg Bahnhof. You can choose type of room, 4-6 or 8 dormitry or private room. My room was clean and fresh, comfortable bed The hostel have its own bar och breakfast services. I highly recommend the hostel

Very convenient location.

The hostel is excellent and just a few steps from Hamburg HBF. The storage space is very convenient and easy to access. The staff is very supportive.

It was a great experience! the location of the hostel is perfect so close to the train station and many great restaurants. The available lockers to leave you baggage for a small fee were also very convenient after checkout!

This hostel is right next to the train station so it’s very convenient for travel. The area is a little chaotic but very typical for areas around train stations. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the facilities were decent. Was able to utilize the laundry room and the bar area. The bathroom was super tiny and smelled a bit like sewage but totally fine for a night or two. There is a popular shopping area nearby and we were able to visit the Christmas markets.

Perfect for 1 night stay

The Generator hostel is across the road from the train station which was very convenient for us. Check in was slow as there we many people checking in at the same time, rooms are small but clean, bathroom is tiny but still useable. Breakfast was 9 euro, there are laundry facilities for 6 euro. There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. For our 1 night stay this hostel is perfect

I did not like the bathroom in my dormitory, for 6 people to just have a tiny shower with nowhere to put down clothing is abysmal. I did like the kind and friendly staff. And i did appreciated the security at the door as the area is very unsafe.

Lovely, Convenient, Spacious

This was one of the easiest hostel experiences I've ever had. The building is in the heart of the city, right next to the bus stop and the train station. Check-in was an absolute breeze, and the people at the desk were very friendly and able to answer any questions. There is an elevator, and the room was large and spacious. The bathroom was very clean, I had a great view of the street. The only downside is that it's a 45 min walk down to the marina. Other than that, highly recommend.

The hostel is located very conveniently near the main train station. We had a quadruple private room, which had 2 bunk beds and a small bathroom. The shower was tiny and the room was small. The beds were surprisingly comfortable with all bedding included. It was fine for 1 night as we were passing through Hamburg, but I would not recommend it for a family for longer than that. Things to note - Towels are not included and cost EU5 ea to hire. You can store luggage in their lockers, which take coins only and was EU4 for 6hrs.

Someone entered our room at the middle of the night apparently his key was also openning our door. Other guests were very loud at night someone was kicking their rooms wall or jumping in their room. There were teenagers running in the corridor late at night. Besides that very practical location

Okay hostel (if you get a double room)!

Overall ok/good experience! Would probably not book again in the first place but if it’s the cheapest alternative I would pick it. We had a double room and it was fairly clean. The bathroom needed a thorough scrub though. The shower curtain was pretty nasty and there were dust and grease in the corners. The room itself was good though! A bit worn out but good. We couldn’t check in until 14:30 because our room wasn’t ready. The staff member in the reception said they’d call on us when it was ready. But then we waited and the staff member got off their shift and when we asked the other staff they said they could get us another room that was ready. Would’ve liked them to be a bit clearer in their communication and we would’ve liked some sort of compensation. There were often some sketchy people in the reception, probably some people staying there but it was unclear. Some were clearly intoxicated and we felt a bit uncomfortable just walking past them.
