A Royal Gem

From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly, efficient, always on hand. Parking was fine, our clean Superior room gave us spectacular views over the wonderful countryside and River Wye, as a listed building you take on the decor. Ross is a great central spot for travelling around.

Welcoming, comfortable and with good food.

We felt very welcome here. The hotel is well staffed and our room was comfortable and clean. We ate breakfast and evening meal here, both were good. Hotel occupies a great position in the town overlooking the Wye valley. The town centre is a very short walk. Parking is tight but adequate. A USB or 13A socket either side of the bed would have been useful.

Location to visit the historic town was perfect, everything in walking distance not too hilly.The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner was well presented & very good with lots of choice and value for money.

A nice 2 night stay on way to Tenby. Staff good coped with a really busy Saturday really well. Would have given 5* but for the stairs(an old building my fault didnt check !!) Will stay again lovely receptionist told me what to ask for next time.

Wonderful stay, staff were so friendly and helpful, we were made to feel really welcome. Breakfasts and evening meal were amazing, service was quick, really impressed. Will definitely return, first time to Ross on Wye, beautiful town.

Had a lovely stay. Some parts of the hotel looked like they could do with a refresh or update. Good room. Bathroom dated. All staff were fantastic. All friendly and attentive. Food was good.

Brilliant retreat

Fantastic stay. Beautiful location we felt like lords of the manor. A real rustic first class hotel. Felt like we were living in upper class 1923. Food was also outstanding Jacob cooked a steak that was better than miller and carter. We will return excellent views from room 25.
