Paid £850.00 for one night, my son and I , one room 2 double beds…u would’ve thought that would be easy….NOT went to check in at 1230 knowing we wouldn’t get into our room till 1500 , but wanted to leave bags…no issue. Went back at 1455 to be told room needs more checks, it’s been cleaned just needs check…didn’t really understand but hey ho..off we went to rooftop bar where we stayed until a phone call at 1520 room ready ..great. This is where it all goes horribly wrong…1st impression was a stony faced reception person (3rd one we have dealt with fair to say other. 2 were lovely) she began but offer me a replacement key to which we replied why we haven’t booked into room yet, then she tells me we have been upgraded to a room with ONE double and a RUNAWAY bed…I stated NO THANKS I WANT THE ROOM I HAVE PAID FOR, at no point was I been considered for this at no point in the check in were we offered water or fruit juice I might also add. So at least 15-25 mins go by with her typing and not being empathetic at all…I asked what the hold up was and she stated that because she had checked us into a room we didn’t want we had to stand there until she amended her incompetence. We asked to speak to a manager and abruptly she stated she had asked her to come out…15mins another un -empathetic woman appeared shock my hand (thinking that would defuse the situation) so I told her all…but nothing….so nearly £900 quid down the drain for an awful experience NEVER TO BE REPEATED…
