Great lakeside view and access, about 50 ft off the lake / beach. Attached bar and grill. Had a few cocktails and excellent meal. Outdoor seating for food and drinks while enjoying the views. And fresh air.

Best bang for your buck

This is probably the best bang for your buck. Right on the lake, close to downtown, prepared staff, and an onsite restaurant. While there aren’t a ton of amenities and the pool is a bit small, the restaurant breakfast deal is a steal. The rooms have what you need for your stay but it would be tough with more than two people per room. Overall, a great, clean stay in a relatively quiet hotel.

Great lakeside hotel in Detroit Lakes!

Nice view of the lake from most rooms ! We enjoyed the great breakfast in the restaurant! Everyone was very nice. We also enjoyed their complementary kayak rentals. This is our second time here, and we will come back again!

We stay here often. We stayed 3 nights this time and the "housekeeping" consisted of making the beds, emptying garbage and replacing towels. The floors were not vacuumed, swept or mopped in our room The fixtures were not wiped down

Great place to relax in Detroit Lakes!

We enjoyed our stay at the best Western in Detroit Lakes. The hotel is right on the lake and we had a view from our balcony which my husband enjoyed sitting out and talking with a friend into the evening. The room was a good size we enjoyed taking a canoe out on the lake in the morning. The breakfast was very good and our waitress was very sweet and caring.

The hotel and rooms were nice. Pool area was nice and salt water pool was a great plus. Restaurant was not great bought breakfast with my hotel room we waited more than an hour for food. Didn’t get drinks until the sitting for a long period of time. Menu is overpriced for quality of food. Servers were nice.
