Not Bad but...!
Our stay was such a mixed bag itโs hard not to leave a middling review. Everything was a โpositive butโฆโ that could be improved to make The Nest a superb choice.
The apartment was beyond clean butโฆ we found a huge shard of glass under the single bed (our 7-year-old found it, thankfully unhurt).
It does sleep 4 easily butโฆ the second bedroom doesnโt fit both singles, the sofa isnโt a sofa bed, and the living room curtains donโt shut fully.
Inventory had most things butโฆ no iron, board or hair dryer; there was however a hoover out and a dog bed under the sink.
It is pet friendly butโฆ the eye-watering urine smell on entry was beyond belief.
Location is superb near St Annes Square butโฆ one neighbour was definitely smoking the โjazz woodbinesโ and we witnessed a drug deal on the street corner.
There was hot water butโฆ only if the heating was on; 2 radiators wouldnโt switch off, and it came on automatically even in peak summer.
Shower worked and bathroom was lovely butโฆ mixer tap was millimetres between Freezing and Scorched Earth.
Kitchen was excellent butโฆ fridge door placement caused me to trap my fingers till they bled.
Overall we made the most of it: big pluses were cleanliness, location, comfy double bed, and sitting in the kitchen people-watching with a cold drink (even with bloody fingers).
If not for the glass under the bed weโd give it a 4; with a sofa bed/bunks, proper walk-in shower and a few mod-cons it could be our St Annes apartment of choice.
