Perfect anniversary getaway!

The rooms are beautifully appointed to fit the time period. The king sized bed was very comfortable - we slept great. We had the continental breakfast twice, and enjoyed it both times. There are several dining options within walking distance for all budgets. We will definitely stay again!

This historic hotel has managed to create a historic environment with all the comforts a modern tourist expects! The towels and linens first rate, antique elevator fun and staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located near the train station and you are able to walk every where to shop and eat.

In Durango for a night to ride the train. Hotel very convenient to old downtown restaurants and shops. Hotel right next to the train station and as hotel guests, were allowed to park there. 5 minute walk to the Durango-Silverton train. Hotel very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Beautiful historic hotel

Beautiful historic hotel right in downtown Durango. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Loved the historic aspect but with that comes smaller rooms, older wiring (i.e., no ports for charging cell phones), and limited (no) amenities (no pool, restaurant). Highly recommend if you don't mind missing out on modern comforts. Plus side is you are right in the middle of everything as you walk out the doors.
