The Stay fell far away from my expectations. First, Valet was not at his station. Second, when i approached the check-in counter, I was greeted with an obscenity (the f word)). He then explained he had to reboot his computer. Third, they wanted my Debit Card to charge an additional $50 as a security deposit like i was a teenager. No clear explanation given. Fourth, i get to my room and it was clear no room service or even an alternative was given. Fifth, the shower stall floor and walls were covered in mold / mildew. It clearly wasn't cleaned in months or years. Sixth, i was notified the $50 deposit from me would take up to 5 days before my DR Card would be refunded. When I asked if i could use part of that to pay my valet charge, i was just told no!
What you advertise and what you get were completely opposite.
I was so turned off that i really needed to document my stay. Had it met or exceeded my expectations i would have gladly given a positive review as i normally do.
So sad and greatly disappointed.

It was a regular hotel room. Calling it a "suite" is a joke. The drawers on the dresser were a hot mess. The bottom one wouldn't close (it was partially open when I got in the room) and the others were very difficult to open and close. The air conditioning in the hotel room as well as a friend's room wasn't working well at all. No body wash, just a bar of soap. The lighting in the room was very poor, including the bathroom.
It costs $30 to valet your car. They said they would send a link so you could request your car before you come down from your room. Never received it. It took 25 minutes to get my vehicle. Other guests were super annoyed about how long they had to wait. AND...I wasn't charged $30, but additional fee for...who knows. Really deceptive advertising.
It was a $250 hotel room, which was super overpriced for what I got. I wouldn't stay here again.

We always enjoy our stays at the Heldrich Hotel. Check in was efficient and very welcoming.
A couple of things:
The sheer part of the curtain was shredded. It should be replaced.
The door lock did not close.
Why was there no channel for looking at one's account, hotel information or in room checkout function?
Why is it the hotel's policy to charge a customer when one cancels a stay, especially when it is done a month ago? In addition, I immediately rebooked our stay; adding an extra night for our stay. I'm grateful that Expedia gave me the refund.
We've always stayed at the Heldrich when we visit New Brunswick for a concert at the State Theater across the street. As much as we like the hotel, the nearby theater and restaurants, we might consider staying elsewhere in the future. It'll be the hotel's loss of two good customers. Lastly, it might not be the hotel's responsibility, but we saw more homeless people in the park; some of them approached us for money entering and leaving the hotel.

very much like European hotels. Nice to look at from the lobby, but the rooms are about Holiday Inn level.

Location Is Great, The Hotel Is OK
The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The location is within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. The restaurant food was adequate.
The business center was OK but needed cleaning. PARKING FOR THE HOTEL IS VERY INCONVENIENT.
