Bed bug
Our stay started well until Day two my partner noticed bites which he thought was mosquito bites. Day 3 he noticed more bites. We checked the sheets. Which we should have done day 1 but we were thinking this is a nice hotel and did not see anything. He was still getting bit so we looked again and there it was a bed bug clear as day. We made a video and took pictures and immediately went to the front desk to advise them of this issue. The Manager acted quickly and was accommodating and moved us to a new room but it took about 3 hours for them to get the room ready. So we waited and waited. I requested our clothes be washed which they agreed to. I appreciate the room change, however my partner walking around with bed bug bites to his face, nose, arms and back.I requested compensation for the time that was taken away from what should have been such a wonderful time. I waited to see if hotel would respond favorably. I did get an email 3 days later stating they would reimburse for one day and then the next day they changed the response to no compensation because there were no bed bugs after pest control investigated. So I believe they think we brought the bugs and faked the whole ordeal because I was told.. “Under no circumstances were there bed bugs in the room. So that is how this was handled. I felt insulted and upset that I was treated like I stayed at a 2 star hotel.
