My only grip is, the porridge at breakfast was only luke warm and very thick, the beans were also luke warm, i didn't eat any other hot food at breakfast, therefore i don't know if all the hot food wasn't very hot.

+ friendly staff + great breakfast (lot of options, eg. ice coffee with oat milk), delicious porridge + nice hallways + surprisingly quiet - we had made online check-in but still had to queue to get the room key - the bathroom had a light on at all times - not that convenient during the night

Classic yet casual hotel

We loved this grand old hotel in a perfect location adjacent to the train station and near to most of Helsinki's destinations. The beautiful common areas feel like you just walked into a 1930s movie set, but the atmosphere is casual. The staff are excellent and helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and includes local specialties. Our room was large and very comfortable, although it didn't have much drawer space for unpacking. The shower/tub works well but is oddly designed without a curtain, so it tends to leave water on the floor, which has a large drain. Of course, there are men's and women's saunas in the basement, and a small gym.
