China World Hotel, Beijing, is one of the longest-standing five-star hotels in the Capital of China. I love its staff and geographical location! The service level is both highly superb and personable. I admit that the hotel is not as new as some of the five-star hotels in Beijing, but it is the "old charm" that gives me a sense of being at my own home! I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers, both international and Chinese domestic, to fully experience how great this hotel is and has always been!

We stayed here for a week, and have stayed at this property for 20 years. This is an excellent location for Beijing - the mall has lots of food options, easy to get transport, and walking distance to some things (Beijing is just so huge.) The staff are very helpful and accommodating, the property is beautiful, and breakfast is fabulous (it is huge, so look at all the options before you decide.) Highly recommend!

Almost perfect.
Everything was perfect just one thing.
To clean the tables during breakfast, the staff drove these "trolleys" around the tables, picking up dirty plates, glasses..etc.
At one end of theses trolleys, they throw the leftovers. It was simply DISGUSTING".
All the bacteria flying in the air
Not hygenic at all!!!!!
You do not do that in a 5 star hotel.

I checked in on Sunday Oct 13. It took 30 minutes waiting in line to check in. The reception staff was completely overwhelmed by the number of people checking in. I expect better service at a 5 star hotel.
This is inconsistent with normal Shangri-La standards.
