The Raines is an older motel, but it was clean, and the bed was comfortable although it was just a full sized and not a queen as we expected. We probably hadn't read the description close enough so that would have been our neglect. It was a hot day and the air conditioner was turned off, so it did take a while for the room to cool down. Otherwise, we had everything we needed.

Good basic old-style motel. My room had a door to the outside and my car parked right outside. Convenient for walking the dog. Comfortable bed, hot shower.

Big rooms, I wasn't expecting how roomy it was. I could have used it as a "homebase" for weeks. Clean, everything was clean and everything worked. The only thing that wasn't right was the toilet seat was loose. I have no doubt it will be fixed in short order. I would stay again.

Hotels.com advertised breakfast, restaurant/lounge, none of that existed. Incorrect advertising from hotel.com, should be some compensation from hotel.com, we would of chosen a different place

Too bad a dump

Noise for five straight hours outside my room. Owner said at 10:30 pm there was nothing she could do. I said I would call the police. She then said she would ask the people to quiet down. She said it was summer and people were partying. She then called an said it would stop by 11. Horrible night sleep in dirty room full of flies with no seal on the door.

Gorgeous yard, thin walls

I like a lot of things about this motel, especially the pretty yard, tree, garden, benches, and windchime. Some day I will try their restaurant, but it was closed when I got there. No breakfast in the morning, but the coffee was excellent. The managers are very nice, too. The one drawback was that the people in the rooms on both sides of mine were both snorers. I could hear everything. Then, at 3:40am, the person in the room on my right woke up and started watching tv, crappy sitcoms with that awful canned laughter of 40 years ago (I banged on our shared wall twice, but no response, and I had no room telephone with which to try to contact the front desk), until they and several others on my block all left very noisily at 6am. Huge horse trailer, big deisel trucks, loud talking and slamming doors, SO NOISY. It was really awful. When I'm on a work trip, I really need a good sleep, not a bad experience like that. I was so disappointed!
