A Great Hotel to Stay

Our stay was exceptional. We originally booked to stay at the Redwings Lodge, 45 Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4QL. The hotel was so terrible, within 30 minutes of checking in, we had to book to stay at your hotel. When we arrived, the staff was amazing. We told them we came from the Redwings Lodge, and they were not surprised. The hotel was immaculate. Spacious rooms. Everything was provided. Breakfast was delicious. So much to eat, and served with a friendly smile. We ate so much. Everything was very tasty. We complemented the staff on their excellent service, and the chef on how lovely she prepared everything. We were visiting families, and invited our auntie to have breakfast with us every morning. She also enjoyed it immensely. We had room service everyday. Clean linens were provided, beds made, and the rooms kept to an exceptional standard. We had an amazing time, and cannot wait until our next visit.

5 stars to all staff in this Hotel

Check in was a bit confused as they said there is no any reservations from Hotels.com and the receptionist and the Hotel manager solve the issue straight away in few minutes but the rest was 5 stars for sure that next visit to Wolves game will use this Hotel. Even the restaurant was really good

A decent hotel, felt safe, great location, a little tired and will need a makeover soon, but good value at £115 per night

Ok nothing special..bit pricey evening meal very uninspiring
J, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

stay was great just a few little niggles. TV - very slow way to find channels and lack of choice given whats available this day and age. Bathroom - tap on sink very tight causing water to fly out when released going all over me and bathroom.

Tired

A bit tired and drab, everything looks a little worn and shabby. Food offer pretty poor - stock control non-existent : no fish or chicken dishes. Ok stay but wouldn't recommend
M, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Check in was very good The accessible bathroom had been refitted since our last stay. The shower head was dripping and when I reported it the maintenance came almost immediately and though a new valve was needed to be ordered he advised me to lay the shower head on the floor so I wasn’t disturbed by the drip which was sensible advice as it couldn’t be fixed immediately nice friendly man. The refit for a disabled person was good in the shower area but the tap and plug were totally inappropriate in the washbasin! I had difficulty pulling the bit behind the tap to get the plug in place and then it still leaked a bit ! Breakfast was good but the coffee on the first morning was so weak I couldn’t taste any coffee and when I asked for a stronger coffee I was told that was how it came but they could get me a cappuccino or something from the retailer on the premises ? Which I declined the next morning the coffee was perfectly acceptable! So that upset me about the previous days response! On a positive the receptionists were lovely, the bed was comfy ,room was kept clean and tidy , breakfast was satisfactory, and disabled parking was available it was very convenient for our visit to our friends. So we would stay again x
Roberta, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

The staff in the restaurant and bar area were less than desirable. Our meals were wrong and had to be sent back because they left half off the plate, not cooked well, and even other customers were having problems. Bearing in mind there were only about 6 people eating at the time. they were more interested in themselves. problem was this happened over 2 of the 3 nights, and the food was definitely under par for the price we had to pay.
Brennan, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Worth a return stay

Hotel ticked all the boxes and was good value. Nice room overlooking the paddock- no race meeting. A very quiet evening. Good quality food served. One prob- we tried to order wine with our dinner and there was no wine list in existence. They had to shout out from over at the bar what was on the till list! There was a v limited and expensive choice, with the house wine out of stock. Spoilt our meal having all the fuss. There should be a full drinks list. Hot water running in both taps next morning, but reception kindly gave us bottled water to drink. A plumbing prob just that day.
