I booked this place last-minute compared with the rest of my trip. I had chosen another place, but when I looked at travel time between my activity and the hotel, I realized that I needed somewhere closer. So I found this place. It was pricey, but at that point, I thought it was probably the best I could get. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a hostel, and the accommodation was not a room, it was a bunk bed. It might have been comfortable for 1 adult per bed, but I am on the large side, and I am used to a King size bed. Plus getting in and out was challenging. To make matters worse, the parking was not on-site, but rather at a parking garage about 6 or so blocks away. The lady at the front desk kindly assured me that parking could be had on the street after the night life slowed down, but my husband is an "in bed by 9 p.m." type, and we had a long drive the next day.
We decided to treat the experience as an adventure, and that made it a bit more palatable. However, I don't see very many college-aged or young 20-somethings being able to afford $200/night. We paid more than that. In fact, for what we paid, I usually get a nice suite with attached bathroom. The whole experience kind of left me with a bad taste for Jackson, Wyoming. Next time, I will look at the description carefully before I book.
