The hotel is dated and the room was dirty. I responded to the front desk and advised them that the toilet wasn't properly working, one lamp shade was filthy the other did not have a globe and was a rusted base, the microwave was disgusting, the refrigerator was full of rust spots, my toilet and bathroom area was absolutely disgusting, my sheets were stained. They had maintenance come in and change as many issues as they could however there is no way that the room should have been offered in that shape. Unfortunately I paid for a bayview and they did not have another bayview room available. They stated they would have my toilet "snaked" however the toilet still did not work accordingly so I literally fixed it myself. This vacation was planned for my grand daughters and they felt uncomfortable when they had to to use the bathroom/shower because it was "icky". They did compensate for one night but there were too many issues to try to fix. A huge disappointment indeed! I should have been compensated for more than what I received. They offered to cancel my reservation without penalty however I did not want to risk my grand daughters and I not being able to get another room in a different hotel, surrounding hotels had no availability. We had been on the plane for hours.
