A great airport hotel!

A very brief stay here for a few hours before our flight to Miami, but the beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and the food was good and quick in the restaurant! The free shuttle to the airport was punctual at 2:45am and took less than 10 minutes to get to the airport terminal.

Great Hampton Inn by the San Jose SJO airport. Room was a very typical Hampton Inn room, clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast was not typical, because it had several local options such as beans and rice, and it was fantastic.

Convenient for airport and car rental

This hotel is what you need if you're flying into San Jose and then heading off elsewhere. It's right opposite all the car rental places and has regular free shuttles to the airport. I had booked another place on the way home and switched it to this one as it is sooo convenient, clean and breakfast was very decent.

Quiet, great value, friendly staff, good food/bar

I come and go from SJO many times per year, and for me this is the best value compared to the other big brands near the airport- the rooms are spacious, clean, orderly, and most importantly QUIET. On occasion you might hear a jet, but you do not hear road noise because the hotel is set so far back from the road. All the same, they have you unloading at the airport in five minutes flat with no traffic.

Our incoming flight from Dallas was canceled and we ended up in Guatemala City. We arrived at the San Jose Hampton just as breakfast was ending. They let us eat and gave us toothbrushes, as our luggage had not made it there, which was very much appreciated. Nice people.
