Poor service with maintenance issues
The Goshen property, in spite of being one of the newest hotels in the town has become decidedly shabby. I normally message the GM to share my concerns but I have decided to leave a contemporaneous account of my stay. We checked in late and were assigned room 405. I noticed the bathroom needed maintenance. The fact that bathroom door does close fully and does not lock is no small issue. Housekeeping would have noticed it. The hook behind the bathroom door became unlatched and near broke my toe. Out of the two breakfast staff the elderly lady was rude and untrained. I wanted to take some items to my room and asked her if she had any boxes that I could use. Without any greeting she glared rudely at me and lectured me about there not being a take out service and pointed me to the plates! The worst case was the night receptionist response when I asked her if there was any bar of soap as there was a tiny one left that fell apart in after a couple of uses. Granted that we didnโt have housekeeping service that day, she lectured me about using the shower gel instead. No apology, no service - just as if the staff have no clue as to who funds their earnings or the notion of serving a customer in a hospitality establishment. I wonโt return again.
