Got there from a long flight to find the water was off. So I couldnโt even wash my face or hands or flush the toilet. The air conditioning didnโt work and the temp got to 70 on one side of the room and 67 to the other. They are doing hotel reservation and new rugs must of been installed because the whole 6 th floor smelt of rug glue. Only 1 of the 2 elevators were in service, and finally I woke up to thousands of small ants running on the table, and in my overnight bag. Do not stay here ! Also I told the desk person on checkout and she was not sympathetic at all !! She just said โ unfortunately the hotel is going through renovations and there is nothing we can do โ

Locked Out and Unable to Get my Medicationโฆ
When my wife and I arrived at the Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn, we were โgreetedโ by an unhappy and unfriendly front desk employee. The room was organized and clean. My wife and I went out to see the area mid-day yesterday and upon return later last night, we discovered that the security latch had come loose and locked us out of our room. We went down to speak about the issue with the last night staff, who were nice and polite. We waited in the dining area while the lady working up front tried to find someone to come fix the latch and let us into our room. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we were made aware that maintenance could not come in until after 8:00 AM, and that we would have to sleep in another room. At that point it was 1:30 AM and didnโt have much of a choice. So, because we could not get into the room where all of our belongings were, we slept in the clothes we had on, didnโt have access to my nightly medication or CPAP, which were all locked in the room. It was a very unpleasant nightโs sleep. While checking the out this morning, we were reminded that โThose locks donโt always work right. Be sure to contact the third party [Hotels.com] and let them know what happened, because thereโs not much we can do, since you booked through a third party.โ I donโt often complain, but this was one of the worst stays Iโve ever experienced. I would like to hear from someone from Hotels.com, who can help rectify the issues.

Clean but had problems with first breakfast is not free. Then went to my room 2nd night couldnโt get in, had to go back to staff to add another night, waiting for 20 minutes due to staff left to go help someone else. ( thatโs what sign said). Halls looked like major leak happened. Tub didnโt drain properly. Very friendly staff.

Staff was nice, place was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The room wasn't as clean as we would have liked it though. There was hair on the floor and on the towels. I wiped the end table with a disinfectant wipe and it came up brown.

We honestly had no major complaints and the price was unbeatable. The lobby area is very nice, some of the room features were older or outdated, but it did not affect our stay. All the staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant.

The room is very dated and was grungy. There was grime on the remote and hvac controls. The walls were so thin. Next door talked on the phone for hours and I heard every word. Definitely need to renovate
