Great location opposite the beach and with views of the sea. Well maintained and clean room with mosquito netting around the bed and good aircon and walk in shower. Clean and spacious pool and sundeck. Choice of restaurants/bars with good food and drinks throughout. Staff very friendly on the whole but mainly French speaking so a few order mishaps. Recommended hotel.

Just right for what we wanted. Rooms are on the small side with not much storage for bags but was enough for us as a couple and for the time we were there.

Hotel is in a great location to the Beach and views from room balcony were very good. Terrific buffet food quality with lots of options. I liked the welcoming feeling and property layout and entertainment in the evening. great stay.

Great Hotel to visit the south west of Mauritius

Hotel is a great place to visit the attractions around. Hotel has one big pool and a rooftop pool which is quite smal but big enough to cool down. We enjoyed the stay....A big thanks to General Manager Denis who was very friendly and supported us a lot in our belongings

Their service is excellent! Was showed around the property upon check in. This property is also environmental friendly, all water bottles are made from plant based. The buffet breakfast & dinner was good.

Only stayed for 2 days but it’s a pleasant hotel . Happen to stay a day on Sunday and it is crowded so I think if you stay the weekend, it’s best to reserve a place at the restaurant if you need to have your meals at the hotel.

Such a nice place! Staff are so friendly and serviceminded. Food wasn’t great but there are places nearby that are worth the stay. Lots of activities to choose from and the massage was great! Roomwas a little small but very nice, had lots of bats outside to look at and to hear at nightime.. Can highly recomend this place!

Nice location right opposite the beach (not a great swimming spot due to strong currents) with loads of parking. Easy check in process with friendly staff throughout our stay. Breakfast selection was very good. The dinner we had, a buffet style on arriving late left a little to be desired.

Pleasant stay

Fairly good hotel, not top luxury but good for 3 star hotel. Pool areas were quiet until mid afternoon. Avoid returning to park at sunset on a weekend as very busy with locals who may be in the hotel reserved spaces. Good location to explore nearby sites

Location near the Tamarin Bay with great opportunities for activities. We can warmly recommend “the early morning dolphins with kayak tour”, really enjoyable to come so close to these amazing animals. Love the “credit point program” from Veranda Tamarin, where each nigh gives you credit points to use for different activities. Selection of breakfast very good. Dinner, buffet style, was ok. Room clean with a nice balcony. Pool area well maintained with several sun beds. The staff was really helpful with Mr Girish in the lead. He was super professional, solution orientated with a great service mindset when he arranged a room solution for our family. We can recommend Veranda Tamarin hotel for families (2 adults, 2 children 12 & 10 years)

Disappointing

The hotel has great potential, but is being let down by poor management. The rooms are not cleaned properly, dirty glasses and plates were left for days. The bed sheets were never changed, and should have been changed every 2 days. We had to ask frequently for toilet rolls, as they had not been restocked although nearly empty. On arrival, the table on the balcony was dirty, and the ashtray full of cigarette butts. Food in the hotel was bland and very often cold. Choice especially breakfast was poor. Poor quality ham and chicken slices every day, no change. Very often we had to ask for cups, spoons, butter etc, as they had run out and staff did not check unless people complained. Drinks in the hotel are very expensive. I would not recommend this hotel, management need to train and supervise staff properly.

Good points and bad points A nice modern refurbished hotel. Pleasant staff and a keenness regarding customer care. Food and drink of reasonable standard although buffet arrangements limited choice and inconvenient serving when busy. Rooms while quaint are in my opinion to rustic and don’t offer great space nor view despite being upgraded. Setting of roof top bar is good but service at times very slow. Main pool too cramped. Surrounding public beach is busy with locals and across road, prone to noise and cars/music. Equally nightly cabaret does have local musicians and can become more non residents than residents depending on band popularity. Nice touch of towels/beach mats/cool box to get filled with drinks. Equally you get a daily credit which you can use for excursions etc we chose boat trip. Secure limited parking at rear of hotel. We’d suggest get out and about and lovely beaches down toward Bel Ombre and even Flic & Flac beach by bus service is an option. Locally limited eating places and bar. Spa we didn’t use as way overpriced even given voucher discount, there is a place beside main junction in/opposite church will do nails/massages by appointment and great value (at least half the price) so while Veranda Tamarin has good attributes the location , quality of room size and limited pool means I’ll look elsewhere if returning.
