the pool was amazing; the staff was super friendly but not too much knowledge or the surrounding areas to grab food or entertainment. the A/C was perfect and the king suite with amazing view.

Such a beautiful spot to stay in Tulum!

The two-room with plunge pool was great and spacious. The hotel is very organic and unique. My only complaint was the AC, it was difficult to get the mini split to get to a comfortable temperature. Beds were comfortable. Dining options are a little far. Transportation is expensive. Onsite restaurant is quite good and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

The nearby restaurant, located inside de hotel’s facilities, is a nightmare due to noise during evenings and nights.

Disappointed in tulum

Rooms were clean and cool, ,beach furniture was unkept, dirty and some items broken all along property. Breakfast was fresh and service was great at their restaurant highly recommend tostadas de pescado al pastor. The bad issue first day of our stay the water for shower/ toilet was out for 4 hours, later restored but it happened again the following day too. Don’t think will come back since front desk management only said water would be restored with no alternate as a complimentary drink nothing

A nice stay

A nice beachside resort. units included outdoor space and a hammock. No efforts were taken to clear the huge volume of sargassum which detracted from the beach. Taco restaurant was good. Included breakfast was minimalist, but menu items were generous and well made. Front desk staff was helpful. The crowd was generally younger (20-30s) with a few families. A pleasant getaway!

Our stay here was amazing !!!!! The staff were all so sweet, constantly asking if we needed anything and always very polite. I would definitely recommend staying here. As the hotel in its self is beautiful.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough! The staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon perfect! We had a couple request in regards to our room and they were prompt and made sure everything was great. Their breakfast may have been the best meals we had while staying in tulum. They have the most beach front compared to other hotels down the strip.
Kelsey, 5-night trip

4/10 Fair

Very dim rooms, noisy and requires renovation. Water is not fresh and hot water was not available at some time. Bathroom and shower are not private cabinets with no windows but an inlet with a mesh net where you can hear the noisy road and beach all night. Last is the walking distance between cabins is sandy rather than having some concrete to facilitate movement and lessens the sand being carried to rooms, but that's just a personal preference.

I didn’t like the loud music played all day long and part of the night… Transportation to and from the hotel to the town was very expensive

Such a beautiful resort! Absolutely amazing. The villa was really nice, my only complaint would be the ants in the kitchen. You have to clean up after yourself right away. Other than that everything was amazing from the food, drinks, ocean views and the pool. The atmosphere is very tropical lots of trees which I love. The staff was very polite and nice. Five Stars

Hotel and suite we selected was phenomenal. We stayed in suite 1, king room with private pool, a hot tub, and on the water. Front desk was super helpful, answered texts extremely fast, and were pleasant to deal with. The seaweed mentioned is a problem everywhere and not just a this hotel problem. We didn’t even smell it in our suite, or while in our pool. We will absolutely stay here again, just be aware that the restaurants around are very pricy but there’s very reasonable pricing on the local food delivery website.

Romantic Private Oasis

The place was awesome! It is still being renovated and a few things not available yet. We choose a time when there is seagrass so educate yourself to the months it arrives. Nevertheless, we love our room and the style of the hotel. It is such a cool concept with the individual palapa style rooms and yet a flare of contemporary. The rooms are private and romantic. Warning taxis are expensive so rent a bike or get a car.

Customer service could be better. They were not as accommodating. Also, toilet had to be flushed 3 times for it to be fully flushed.

Maya tulum

The hotel charged a $50 fee for a second person, since when I searched it defaulted to one person. I would understand if I had extra people but 2 per room isn’t unreasonable. They also provided an upgrade but the $50 charge took away from that experience in the fact that I felt like I was forced to pay for a more expensive room. Overall great hotel, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated.
Kari, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The concept of this place is nice, but there is so much seaweed that it is almost unswimmable (although not their fault by any means, but we had no idea it’d be like that) Drinks and food was extremely overpriced at the beach club. Waited almost 12 mins for them to Make me a margarita and get a beer. Restaurant is only open for 3 hours/day for breakfast and the food was not great. The room was nice though. But I would not return
Nicholas, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Maya hotel was great. Food was also great also. The room was awesome, even though was far a way from the lobby we enjoyed our stay since we had no one around and was quiet and very private. We got the room with a mini pool and ocean view it was perfect and we were able to watch the sunrise every morning. We had a few issues with out door and key, staff was great and they took care of it with no problem their were very nice and patient (especially a girl name Coco and a guy name Ulises). The overflowing seaweed give the town a weird smell but other than that the beach was great too. They have ATMs inside the hotel so if you forget to change your money to Pesos don’t worry they got you. They also connect you to tours companies and provide bikes, scooters, cabs or anything you need (with extra charge, of course). Make sure you bring enough money because transportation it’s very pricey (at least for us). Also the girl at the restaurant (breakfast time) she was really nice but I totally forgot her name but if you get to meet her you will know who am talking about. You will not get disappointed with the hotel.
crystal, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

The facility was beautiful but upon arrival we were notified that they were under construction which I wasn’t informed of prior to arriving. When I booked continental breakfast was included, Upon arrival they said “no, we don’t do that”. The first night our a/c shut off and on all night long. The second day we had no a/c all day long. On our last day our room and the entire resort had no power we were left in darkness with no answers on when the issue would be fixed. I was told I would be remembered for my last night stay within 15-30 days and never was. Unless you’re okay with no power and a/c I would not choose Maya Tulum.

10/10 Exceptional

Our recent overnight visit to Maya Tulum by G Hotel was truly delightful. Right from the start, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of, making our short escape a memorable one. We arrived early in the morning, well before the usual check-in time of 3 pm. However, Ricardo, a friendly member of the staff, made sure we could settle in early, allowing us access to our room by 11 am, which was a pleasant surprise. Throughout our stay, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. They took great care of us, ensuring that our needs were met and that we had everything we required for a comfortable stay. The room was spotless, with every detail carefully attended to. We especially enjoyed the private jacuzzi, which was clean and set to the perfect temperature for relaxation. Ricardo kindly showed us around the area, making sure we were happy with everything before leaving us to enjoy our stay. Although our visit was short, it left a lasting impression. We're already planning our next trip back with our 2-year-old son and my wife. As owners of a travel agency in Paris and Miami, we'll definitely be recommending Maya Tulum by G Hotel to our clients, knowing they'll have a fantastic experience. Overall, our time at Maya Tulum by G Hotel was characterized by excellent service, cleanliness, and tranquility. We're looking forward to returning to this wonderful destination soon.

2/10 Poor

When I arrived the hotel put a $500 hold on my credit card. After finding bugs and ants in the bed I checked out immediately notified the staff and booked at another location. The hotel then refused to refund my money an instead tried to give me a future credit to stay there again. I thought you have to be kidding me. The next day I woke up to look at my statement only to find out the hotel charged my card twice for the total amount of $1,000. I drive back to the hotel and advised me they would fix it and never did and after calling the accounting department several times nobody called me back to resolve the issue as of yet. Travelers beware, the property is indeed beautiful but it’s so much seaweed me and my wife couldn’t even swim and the private pool we had outside the room was dirty and even the main pool for the guests. First and last time staying here for sure.
