Wonderful Experience!

We booked a room at the Maverick Inn, sister property to the Holland Hotel. Checking in at the Holland, they upgraded us to the rooftop suite at the Holland for no upcharge because the A/C at the Maverick Inn room was broken. We will definitely stay with them again!

Room was not as expected. Toilet and bathtub had mildrew stains. Bathtub ceramic wall had mold around it. Not a sofa to sit on, only two high chairs, door not too secured. Room and property need a lit of maintenance. Very old and not mantained. Wall plugs without a cover. Dissapointed tgat pictures did not match the place.

Have stayed here before- it is owned and check in is at another hotel downtown. There is no one at location . Almost no other guest there. VERY quiet and easy parking. This is a very old road stop hotel from 30s. Large room with a GREAT bathroom. Old history place in west Texas!! Would stay again!!!!

I love this property for its unique qualities in the region: historical preservation of the area's first campground, a very nice swimming pool, easy access to the main parts of town, great pet-friendly place with a nice yard for them, and the commitment of owners to the preservation of the region. Authentic little spot across from Sul Ross.

Clean and Comfy

The check in was at a sister property down the street. We checked in after hours so there was no one to greet us, but the hotel left very detailed instructions on how to obtain the key. The room was clean and bed was fairly comfortable. The motel is located right next to the road so was some road noise. The motel was kind enough to provide nose plugs so that helped ease the road noise.

We picked the facility for its unique western/spanish decor and the location to the university. The room was simple yet elegant. The staff were friendly and helpful since we did not arrive till after closing and left early the next morning. They offered to extend our checkout for us due to such a short stay.

Adorably funky in just the right ways. Bed was comfy. Front desk at the Holland Hotel couldn't have been nicer and helpful. Rumor has it both the Holland and Maverick will be remodeled in the coming year. That said, I'll mos def return!!

Great location, terrible sleep

Great location and easy access. Very easy check in and out. However the mattress in our room was awful and made for very poor sleep. You could feel every spring and it squeaked very loud anytime one of us moved. The shower also still had someone else’s bar of soap in it when we arrived.

This is really cute and well maintained motel with a southwestern theme. The lobby was unmanned so we had to go to another hotel to check in and pick up our key. Also on one of the days of our stay I left my pjs folded on the bed and the cleaning staff left a note to say they could not make the bed due to personal articles on the bed. That seemed a little strange, but they did generally do a great job cleaning. Overall a good experience. Cute pool - we spent several evenings there. I would stay there again!

We arrived late on a Thursday night. When I walked into the office , no one was there...their were close. However,'there was a envelope with our name on it. A letter inside with the key. So sweet and quant. They trust here in Alpine!! A very great quality! Room was nice, cold when we got in but the heater worked great. The bed was not the best I have stayed in but really not bad. The hotel was close to everything. Alpine is a GREAT TOWN! Love it and we will be back!! God bless Alpine!
