Very friendly staff. Teepee amenities were better than I had expected. Having a cafe on site was a big plus

We lived in a tipi for one night on the way to Death Valley National Park. Four people slept in two double beds. Everything is just fine.

The staff was sweet but our tipi didnt close, it kept following off the velcro. Property not taken care of and there was a guy working on his car at night and test driving it through the property all night.. might be ok in your own RV but not in a tipi..

6/10 Good

Olancha RV Park and Motel is in a unique and beautiful location. The sunrise in the mountains was amazing. The motel is in module houses and is clean with good heating. The restaurant and some motel trailers were under construction at the time. The restaurant (Olancha Cafe) was still working while the renovations were going on and the food was delicious!

10/10 Exceptional

This place is perfect for what it is, an RV park with teepees. The limited staff is fabulous! The highway is noisy, but besides that, the property is a rustic, tiny town paradise.
Laura, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A getaway with family and much needed rest. I could not have asked for a wonderful scenery of mountain views and cool gust winds. The nature and beauty never disappoint.
Leticia, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

While the town is extremely small with not alot except a gas station, the room was stunning, very well equipped and there's a magnificent view of the Sierra Nevadas. Ideally placed for Death Valley, Sequoia National forest or, for those brave enough U2's Joshua Tree album cover photo (the tree died sadly but there is a plaque about 1/4 mile into the desert off CA 190). Staff were amazing, milkshakes to die for.

We stayed in the tipi, which was very clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast on-site, which was delicious and cooked to order. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Location was easy to find, even as we arrived very late at night. The shower area was small, but all we expected and needed for our one night there. We had a great time on our way passing through the area!
Elizabeth, 1-night trip

This place is very special and was crafted with great care. We stayed in one of the Teepees. The beds were so comfortable and the space was very clean and comfortable they even had heating blankets if you need to use them. This area of the Sierras is stunning and this property just adds to the experience. We loved our dinner cooked and served by Heather and the property managers are amazing. Would definitely come back was very beautiful and memorable!

Don’t judge by the outside

Outstanding!! Best bed and pillows ever!! The little place was just redone and it is amazing. We ordered food there in the cafe as well and so good! They have beer and wine for the adults and a cute little patio to sit on to enjoy the nite away. There motto is “Tell a friend and stay again” we will most definitely!!

Safe in the middle of nowhere

We had a very pleasant stay at Olancha. The staff was very friendly and available to answer our numerous questions about the area. We choose to stay in a tipee, very clean, comfortably cool despite the outdoor temperature. The beds were comfortable made with good linen. A comfortable rustic experience.
Jacqueline, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Secluded quiet RV park.Quiet Old very Old, the housing for non Rv owners are trailers devided like duplexes. Located between snowcapped mountains. Beautiful . No nearby restaurants or gass. Food at exelent price at check in building. Staff goodhearted and helpful.
Duste, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and the morning view was magnificent! We arrived late and tired and were glad that the café was still serving food. Too tired to decide whether we wanted to get takeout or dine in, the staff person taking our order cheerily said, “I’ll bring it to your room if want to just go relax!”
Mary Beth, 1-night trip

Tired traveler

Old but relatively clean. Was an old mobile home that was made into 2 separate rooms for 2 sets of guests. No shower curtain for the tub. Worked for us because we were dog tired and couldn’t drive any more that night. If I hadn’t booked online we would have tried to go farther.
Johnny, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The staff is friendly and accommodating. We originally booked the tipi but due to weather conditions, we decided to stay in one of thier mobile units. The staff did not hesitate. The property needs some updating but clean. Not much to do in the local area. Beautiful views and night skies.
