At first sight the 'tunnel' entrance looked a bit daunting but fear not! The entrance staff are welcoming and lead you the the main reception.
I found this hotel to be a well-run, reasonably priced place to stay for 4 days. Although I had asked for a room on an upper floor I was asked to wait in a 2nd floor room for a couple of hours until an 8th floor one was available. No real issue.
Room 802 was larger than average with safe, refrigerator and a shower room with ample hot water (sadly no waterfall shower). a couple of bottles of water and sachets of tea/coffee were included but beware the 2 sneaky bottles of branded mineral water in the fridge....they will cost extra and yes! they check the room before you check out.
Bed was firm but comfortable. Bed linen and towels were clean and good quality.
Excellent Asian breakfast menu; about 10 food warmers as well as a bar for freshly made item (omelettes etc). Europeans had cereals, toast, French bread, cakes and fruit in abundance from which to choose. Staff kept the tables clean and food replenished at all times.
TV had a wide choice of international channels (CNN, BBC, Discovery, Japanese Korean etc). WiFi was very good with no drop-outs while I used it.)
The local area is typical Ho Chi Minh City. Easier to walk than risk a motor scooter taxi to places of interest; but start early before it gets too hot.
There are restaurants, cafes, street-food, convenience stores at every turn as soon as you walk out of the hotel.
