A staff member not once came to our room, gave extra towels, wasn’t sure since if this was even included in our stay. Room was clean and up to date. We enjoyed our long weekend at The Indigo Hotel.

The good, its ocean front and it's cheap. The bad, a lot of the other people staying there like to smoke skunk weed which ruined the beach atmosphere. They need to increase the penalties for smokers to discourage it. The ugly, the place is pretty run down looking.

Although the room was “recently renovated” it was not impressive at all. Outlet covers were missing, the bathroom sink drain was broken, the mattresses were old and sagging in the middle. The sliding door to the balcony was heavy, old, and hard to open. There is no receptacle outlet near the table, so nowhere to plug a laptop in. It was raining heavy all day & night and water was seeing into the room. The porcelain tile floors made it very slippery, especially in the breezeways. Lastly, the parking lot is very small, so hopefully you dive a compact car.

Our stay at Indigo was a great experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was remodeled and the rooms were very clean. I would highly recommend it.

Rooms were excellent, nicely renovated, pool was a bit dirty, but its now out of season and probably unused anyway. Wanted to mention that there were some reviews mentioning no elevetor, which was totally incorrect! Everything was good, close to the beach and comfortable beds.

Excellent VIEW! Hotel Stay

We were late coming in on a Friday night but once we got here, Shameka (I had to ask her name again....) welcomed us and gave us our card to get into our room. Too excited to sleep by morning it was simply beautiful! By our 3rd day, we discovered so many convenient places to go! 👣🚙 This is a very good location convenient to everything! The Indigo manager, Rikayah very friendly, when I took a concern to her, she was very attentive and very appreciative and took care of it. We are so happy here that we have opted for one more night! comfortable beds, everything clean, bathroom, there were towels, soap & shampoo, dorm rm refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pool, FREE WIFI the biggest deal for us beach/ocean! ❤️⛱️🐚 whichever room you stay in. It's all beachfront! Thank you Indigo and manager Rikayah...

So so but overall good.

A good clean hotel, with good staff, BUT, no internet for those that really need more than just checking email, Digital Nomads, go elsewhere. Wouldn't mind staying again if they can fix their internet. There are other options, it was expensive.

Upgrade not finished?

There were no drink machines. The ice machine worked fair. The ice bucket was cracked and looked worn. We were on the 9th floor, I asked, but ended up after hours getting my own towels and a sheet set. I fell right outside the pool gate, against a rail, faulty steps, hurt my arm and it swelled a goose egg size. Told the desk, not even an offer of first aide. Just told me thats the city if Myrtle Beach side. I just wanted some compassion. The parking lot was cracked and lumpy. But the ocean and beach were wonderful and the ocean view from the room on the balcony was glorious. Glass sliding doors, kept the ocean view day and night!

If you want to spend $500 for a weekend getaway involving half functioning tvs/ remotes, constantly killing bugs within the room, constant noise 24/7 and a front desk manager who could careless and not offer any type of help with any of the matters, you should stay here. We had all of these issues and when I asked if we could be moved to another room to at least get a good nights sleep, the response was “we have rooms available, but we can’t do that for you”

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. Beds were very hard. Everything was clean and newly renovated. Wish they had breakfast option.

Bad experience this time.

Poor service. All previous times, we stayed on the higher floors with no problems, and the rooms were in good condition. This means they were spotless and had complete dinnerware and flatware. This time, they were missing. Also, there was no hair dryer in the room. When we asked for it at the front desk, they said it was unavailable. What worsened was that the tiles on the floors got very wet due to heavy condensation on the first floor. Finally, Saturday around midnight, people outside were throwing fireworks and screaming, probably drinking or smoking. Of course, there was no Indigo staff to make a complaint.

We were suppose to have a kitchen did not. So all meals had to be eaten out but wanted at hotel rather then running around. There was suppose to be a place to do laundry was not. Was suppose to be a place to smoke was not a lady at the front desk told us we could in the parking lot but there was an ashtray in the pool area and we watched people from our balcony out there smoking. WE also had people smoking pot somewhere around us the wind blew in the smell on the balcony. The one lady at the front desk said Hotel. Com always combines it with Compass Cove so if they know these issues then fix them.

Not perfect, but we will be back

We were very pleased with our stay after a rocky start. The hotel is understaffed. I felt bad for the young lady behind the counter as there is a surge of people showing up at check in and everyday we were there, we only saw one person working at a time. All that being said, she was very friendly even though it was obvious she was overwhelmed and many of the guests were being rude to her. When we got to our room we immediately checked for bed bugs and were pleased to find none. We did however find a that the sheets on one of the bed were not clean. The cleaning staff didn't speak english so it took some work to sort out. The girl at the front counter had a dozen people waiting so I didn't want to bother her. After that, everything was great. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The only complaint I had was there was no ventilation in the bathroom. Not a fan or anything. After showering, it was steam filled for some time. All that being said, we would definitely stay there again. I feel it is an exellent value for what you pay.

Disappointed

We thought we had ocean front but was a room called a aptno dresser. Room wasn’t clean like the reg rooms. We left early just lost our money. We usually love it but in regular ocean front rooms. Very dissapointed No tv in living room only in bed room
