Everything was perfect

Our great memory in markleeville will forever be in our heart. We had a great time. Todd was very kind and very accommodating. I think he's probably the best host I've met. Everyone was so nice in markleville, that was a blessing that made our stay amazing, the room was very clean and adorable, the beds were very comfy. It was all a joy. Except for the bad kitty 😐Thank you Todd, I wish you many beautiful days ahead, hope to come back in the future. The Thomas's 💜💜💜🙏

Nice, enjoyable weekend

Stayed here after going to grover hot springs. It's a small place, but it's very clean and well maintained. Everything was good. It's not a luxury hotel, but we enjoyed our stay. The person working there was very nice and friendly, and the location is perfect. Make restaurant reservations, there's only one place in town!

Room was quiet and clean. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had restaurant reservations - above and beyond good service

8/10 Very good

My friend and I spent a lovely two nights at Creekside Lodge. We were welcomed by the kind, friendly manager, Todd, who did everything to assure our comfort. Though not luxurious, the rooms were clean and cozy, and we slept so well. It was a little disappointing that our windows looked directly out onto the wall of the restaurant next door, so we had no view at all - but we were there to sleep, not sightsee. The lodge could really use some benches and landscaping around it to be able to enjoy the creek rushing just below the property. There was really no place outside to sit. But we liked our stay there and will return.

Love the hosts

Very accommodating. They notified me of the room number and placed keys in the room so I didn't have to bother with the check in procedure. This might not work is a big city, but for little Markleeville it's really convenient. The only thing I'd fix is the shower head. I like a gentler shower flow, but if that's all I have to complain about they deserve the 5 stars. The mattress is really comfortable and the decor is cute without being overdone.

6/10 Good

Stayed in this hotel during a recent ski trip to Kirkwood. There is no onsite hotel reception. Received an email late afternoon on the day of checking-in with instructions to enter the room and the area doesn’t have cell connection. We found only one open restaurant (opposite the hotel) in the town which claimed to be fully booked at 6:30 PM and refused to give takeout as well. Had to drive 30 minutes to Minden for dinner. Room was small, but clean with no coffee maker. Overall, terrible experience, will avoid staying in this area in future.

Stayed here for a night in Jan after Skiing in Kirkwood. This place is much closer compared to Minden or Pioneer. Lovely property. The rooms were super clean, towels etc were well stocked, bed is comfortable. This was my first time in this property or town. Owner called ahead of time to inform us of the room we were going to get and also helped make a reservation in the restaurant across the street. Will defn come here again.

This is my fourth stay at the Creekside Lodge and it won't be my last. The staff are very attentive and the rooms are clean and quiet. Nestled in tiny Markleeville, this property is a great stop for anyone touring the Sierras.

8/10 Very good

Nice room. Comfortable bed and good heating which was appreciated on a cool evening. We didn't find the vending room with coffee, microwave etc when we arrived, only when the owner mentioned we could get a coffee the next morning. As it's out of season and early in the week everything in the town was closed so had to drive to a larger town to get dinner.

Really nice place to stay.

Nice, clean, convenient place. Very low key, rooms super clean and comfortable. People who run it are very nice and helpful. No air conditioning. Only worry about that on the super warm days. Depends on over head fan and open windows. We did fine. Brew pub next door and nice breakfast place across the street. Markleeville is a small town and the gateway to Grover Hot Springs. Not to be missed.
