This historic hotel interior is designed as if it were 1880. The rooms are that way too. Great bar and nice restaurant, where the complimentary breakfast is served (vege frittata, scones and coffee, tea). It’s a well run 5 star hotel in downtown Grass Valley.

Got gouged on a happy hour drink added a 90 cent tax on a 10.00 dollar well drink. I can get the same drink for 6.50 at cirinos. Plus I have two different receipts with two different tax amounts. Kind of a cute boutique type hotel. And the rooms were newly renovated and clean. The restaurant was very trendy, but a little expensive. Parking was insufficient. Overall, nice experience, but for the price I would expect maybe a fridge or a TV in the room. It all depends on what you are after, I suppose.
