Nice location, nice transfer to main island and back. Staff was excellent and friendly. Room (420) had seen it better days and upstairs room every walking sounded right back to our room. In room there were no smoke alarms. Breakfast buffet was also really nice and fresh.

Staffs are friendly & helpful. Hotel was in an independent island by itself, away from busy town centres hustles & bustle yet very easily reachable to the town for shopping and food outlets. I would recommend it.

From the moment we arrived we were treated to wonderful hospitality. Every staff member was courteous and welcoming throughout the entire stay. The food was brilliant, especially the breakfast buffets each morning. The facilities were clean and the outdoor common areas were well serviced, clean and beautiful. We will be “Back to Rebak” :-)

Loved this island

We read all the reviews of this hotel before booking and weren’t expecting 5star luxury but the hotel seemed good value and located where we wanted to be. The moment we stepped off the boat onto the island we knew we had made a great choice. All the staff were friendly, relaxed and made you very welcome. They seemed happy doing their jobs. The island is a paradise for wildlife.Everywhere is walkable and you never know what bird it animal you will find round the next corner…..and the monkeys! There is also an aviary hidden away with budgerigars and peacocks who look forward to 10am & 4pm feedings which you are invited to join. Yes , the buildings are a little tired but clean and comfortable and if you want to pay 4 times the price there are plenty of other 5star hotels but I doubt we would have enjoyed it half as much as we did!

This resort is located in a great location. They provide free shuttle to and from the property. The staff are very friendly and cooperative. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The only observation is that the property needs renovation. Also, the property has the scope to utilise for the guests a greater part the island, which is very scenic but currently unused and inaccessible.

Overall we were happy with the resort. However they could do some maintenance to the rooms as air conditioning was not cold and the bar fridge wasn't cold either. The ground staff should be trained to do their job away from the guests who are trying to enjoy the atmosphere and not having to listen to noisy machine and rubbish flying around. Some improvement could be done to the food that is offered especially with the steamboat. Had uncooked bbq chicken wing served to us. Charred nicely on the outside but raw on the inside.

We returned to the hotel after we stayed there in 2017, when it was still managed by Taj. We could tell that Covid took a bit of a toll on the hotel and that the new management is still getting new staff up to speed, however our stay was fantastic overall. The service from the team was generally excellent, the kitchen and bar staff extremely friendly and there are a lot more activities on the island now than there were before. The rooms may need a bit of touching up and it would be nice to see a stricter policy to ensure people use proper bathing suits in the pool as some individuals did not wear swimgear / burkinis but rather what looked like their piyamas. The overall ambiance of the hotel on the island is fantastic and you don't get this anywhere else. We're looking forward to coming again hopefully soon and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday.

Sorry to say. Restaurent menu options have to be improved for sure. We don’t feel the food choices are up to the advertised standard. Also like some other resorts in Langkawi, this private island should also hold more than 1 Restaurent. As this is private island, guests are deserved to have more than 1 Restaurent and they should not depend on less frequency ferry service, to go out and eat. Hope management will consider this. Remaining all are very perfect. Thanks for accommodating us.

Bring your earplugs and eat somewhere else!

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and resorts all over the world. We were here as a couple for 9 nights. Picked the resort for the beautiful setting. We had high expectations due to the private island. We thought this was the place for tranquility and peace and quiet. We were totally wrong. This resort is in the end not suitable for families with children, nor for couples. Not for elderly, There are always loud music or families with children around. The gardeners are also constantly cutting grass, blowing leaves and sand. It’s a constant high annoying sound level all over. On top of this there is an airport not far away. All the planes are lifting and landing over Rebak Island. Everynight at 7 pm the music from a live band starts. The music can be heard right into the bedroom. The adult pool is located behind the children's pool meaning that the adults have to give up the view from the infinity pool. Sun loungers and bar have been placed so they are blocking the sea view. Pool towels are not clean. Stains. The staff generally did not maintain as high service level as we are used to in Malaysia. Not as nice and caring treatment as in other hotels. Apart from a breakfast buffet that felt stingy, using the coffee machine cost 11 MYR The trays weren’t refilled properly. Restaurant poor and costly. No value. We are very disappointed with our stay. Go somewhere else!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’hôtel Rebak Islande. Que ce soit le confort des chambres, la piscine ou encore le restaurant, tout était vraiment à la hauteur de nos attentes. Toutefois, je recommande à l’établissement de procéder à un nettoyage plus régulier des plages afin de préserver l’environnement et la beauté de la mer.
