I stayed two nights to celebrate my girl's 1st birthday. All staffs in Angsana were soooooo kind and they tried their best to make us feel comfortable to stay. I will definitely visit again next time.
Location:
No easy access to towns nearby. Need to hire cabs. Good to have its own beach.
Facilities:
Overall, old but well maintained and clean.
Not a huge swimming pool but clear water without chlorine scent.
The room I stayed was good enough to stay even though it's time lapsed. Bad was comfortable.
Restaurants:
The one located in the lobby - Lotus ?? - is not bad where you have breakfast.
Staffs are friendly and helpful.
However, the other one at the beach side - forgot the name - was missing 2% for 5 star resort. Had to request necessary items every time. Be aware, there are a good number of mosquitos try to suck your blood. Whether you wear repellent or not they shoild recommend to diners. You need to have extra small dishes for family style sharing menu but they never offered until asked.
They must care for details for that kind of expensive dishes. Food was mediocre. Not a bang for the buck.
Overall:
3.5 of 5 stars. (Very subjective evaluation, so don't bother to criticize me. :)
The staffs add 1 star. 5+1=6 stars so far.
Old facilities substract 0.5 stars. 6-0.5=5.5
The beach side restaurant contributed to cut off 2 stars. 5.5-2=3.5
Enjoy your staying. It's worth stayng against what you paid for.
Angsana! One of the Reasonable Priced Resort in Bitan.
Room is small though, it is not bad. Almost room is partial ocean view.
One problem is the price for restaurants.
