"Quaintest hotel I’ve had the pleasure to visit! The staff were friendly. Parking was free as was breakfast! The shampoo was amazing! The room was large and I could have stayed longer happily!"

"This hotel was like staying with your favorite Bavarian auntie. The common areas were full of history about the hotel. The balcony is open for guest to sit and enjoy the views. The decor was cozy and charming and will always be part of my memories of this trip. Staff was great, breakfast was great. They also had parking.

"Great, great location to see the two castles. Hotel is located in a quiet area. Unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of their spa. There's parking at a reasonable rate. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Our room has a view of one of the castle. Room was decorated nicely, plenty of space. Buffet breakfast was great, excellent quality. We wish we could stayed longer than 2 nights. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Location is the best. Any activities around are driveable. Staff was great and provided info on activities around. There was no air-conditioning, considering warm weather. Kept window/balcony door open, issue was mosquitoes. We were bitten every day. Dust wasn't cleaned around the bed and underneath. Only noticed it due to kids walking bare foot in the room.
Adding air conditioning (AC), magnetic mesh for window and balcony door would be great or a UV light insect killer.

friendly, staff were nice and helpful. Dinner was also good and they were accomodating for gluten free. Location is very convenient for Zugspitze and hiking. We unfortunately were staying only one night and our hike second day was rained off so we would like to return for longer next time to explore the area more."

"Beautiful area, of course we're in Austria! Traffic through the Fernepass was atrocious, which is right near Obsteig. Construction was in process across the road from hotel and the trucks that traveled the road all night that our room overlooked were very loud. No A/C so leaving windows open was a must. The furnishings looked to be very fancy in the 1930's, part of it's charm. Everything was very clean, though feather pillows need a little more stuffing. Loved the balcony for every room. Also,...

"This is a beautiful property that has been run by the same family for years. Although the building is old, everything has been updated and worked well! The views are breathtaking. Parking is free and easily accessible. We were on the 3rd floor and the only drawback was getting the luggage up the stairs as there is no elevator. Breakfast was delightful. I would stay here again."
