Learn more about Gormanston

The region around Gormanston is home to attractions such as Queenstown Town Hall and West Coast Wilderness Railway.

Gormanston is an amazing town - one of the last remaining ghost towns in Tasmania. It's unofficially a ghost town as it has a population of six. Mount Owen, pictured here, looms over this all but forgotten place. It takes about 4-5 hours return to climb Mount Owen. Well worth it for views like this! Bring warm, wet weather gear. It can be a soggy part of the world!
